My hair is just there, I don't wear make up much but I do wear jewellery (proper stuff and costume)

I have 3 bags, one black, one white and one red but I can't bring myself to use the red one as it is too bright!

I don't think your bag matching your jeans is necessarily a problem, unless you are ironing creases down the front of your jeans

But hell, what does it matter, I am old!

I am with twiglett on this one. I am 61 with Great skin - seldom wear make up (special occasions only). I have no beauty routine and only one rule which is PUT NOTHING ON YOUR FACE BAR WATER. No creams, no astringents, no soap ever. Only had a facial once and broke out in spots!

As to hair - a good cut every six weeks - a low maintainance wash and wear style, which does not fight with what your hair does naturally.

Enjoy yourself, don't waste time and money or worry about your looks and you will look youthful and happy.

Do you know what, I discovered to my amazement that Boots still do a No7 and No17 lipstick in colours that I wore over 10 years ago.

I bought them again purely for nostalgia and they are bloody great.

On making this discovery I decided to resume my journey down memory lane and bought a load of clothes from TopShop, and had all my hair cut off.

I now look almost the same as I did 10 years ago. Hurrah!

I'm sobbing into my nice dry white here. I love my black cardie. It's long and black and didn't Heat say that long cardies are in recently? Cod, I fear you may not actually have your finger on the pulse of popular culture - Heat, as we all know, is always right.

And who cares if my eye makeup looks the same as it did when I was 17 (although now it's learnt to melt into the wrinkles)?

How can you get off waterproof mascara with only water? If I used only water I'd have 24 years of make-up crusted on me. My face would enter a room hours before the rest of me.
