Greece with breasts- what do you wear?

PeaceGoodMercutio · 12/07/2023 10:23

First Greek holiday with large breasts.
After DD1 breasts have increased from a 34C to a 36G.
What would look good!?
I need a style overhaul as I don't fit in anything from my previous holidays!
Booby women-what do you wear?

36F and mid 40s here, I still go topless at the beach.

Away from the beach, I tend to just wear light things that fit, not so tight as to be uncomfortable in the heat but, at the same time, not look as if I'm wearing something that hangs like a sheet from boobs downwards.

A little cleavage helps but nothing so much that people fear they will fall down it.

Be proud and bold.

Have a look at COS
They have a large selection of linen, and simple cuts but most of their clothes have a very loose fit

LysHastighed · 12/07/2023 11:32

I’m 30K, so perhaps too different from you, but I don’t think I have to dress around it much. Good underwired bikini sold in bra sizes not dress sizes is important. V-necks rather than round necks. Everything must have a clearly defined waist. My best dress this summer, surprisingly, was £3 in the middle of Lidl.

CosyCoffee · 12/07/2023 11:42

Can you leave them at home with a sitter?

Most high street clothes shops cater for 36G bust no problem. Just have a look and see what you fancy and buy it.

Fatkittythinkitty · 12/07/2023 11:45

Is there a particular problem with taking larger breasts to Greece? If so, at what size does this problem kick in? Is it a problem in other countries or just Greece?

WandaWonder · 12/07/2023 11:59

Do they get a seperate seat on the plane?

Cos is great but be careful of ‘ loose fits’. If you have big boobs they can just make you huge and shapeless. I’m 34 H and wear well fitting bikinis- try Prima Donna or Bravissimo. V neck t shirts and tunics. Fitted tops - with a well fitting bra - are flattering. Are you definitely a 36 back size?

Don't you know most airlines have a bosom allowance and if you're over a certain cup size, you have to pay a surcharge

FFSCarrieBradshaw · 12/07/2023 12:07

What is it with sarky posts on S&B at the moment?

I imagine OP is asking because the usual clothes one might wear for a holiday in a hot country are loose and flowing and as PPs have mentioned that can be a difficult look to pull off with large breasts.

And yes, obviously, OP can wear what she likes etc etc. But I'm guessing she's asking because she wants to feel she's looking her best on her holiday, as many people do.

PrinceHaz · 12/07/2023 12:07

If you can afford it, get well fitting bras, bikinis and swim suits from somewhere like Bravissimo turn just wear your usual holiday clothes.

FFSCarrieBradshaw · 12/07/2023 12:43

How about something like this skirt that you can then wear with a fitted racer back vest on your top half.

Or, if you did want something loose and flowing maybe something like. this with a more open neck so it's not hanging straight down from your boobs.

I'd also have a look for a waisted kaftan, they can look very glam on larger breasted women.

I'm not sure how you feel about jumpsuits, but something like this in a light flowy fabric would look great for evenings.

I empathise OP.
34G here and first beach holiday for a good few years.
I've found that matalan do tankinis/bikinis based on cup size so I've bought a few of those plus I've bought some linen & cotton T-shirt dresses from next to throw on top in the day.
I've a white broderie maxi skirt and a couple of dresses that I'll mix & match for the evenings.

wutheringkites · 12/07/2023 12:56

I'm a 32GG and find the square neck swimsuits from M&S flattering and comfortable.

V necks and lightweight wrap dresses normally work well.

I steer clear of loose clothing because it makes me look enormous. Defined waistlines are a must!

RavingStone · 12/07/2023 13:04

Perfectly reasonable question!

The problem with big boobs is what feels nice and what looks good aren't always the same and hot weather exacerbates the problem.

IME clothes that fit the rest of you don't automatically have space for bigger boobs and I'm size 14 so hardly small.

I find this hush dress really airy and flattering https://www.hush-uk.com/catharina-twist-back-midi-dress-bright-blue/008495-1623.html
although I've been disappointed with a lot of their recent stuff.

Bravissimo bikini tops are good- even strapless they are very supportive (38E) Dresses wise I tend to go for loose A line styles or empire line but without too much volume. I do tend to go for dresses as I find them easier. As someone else said v neck rather than round and also wrap styles work well. I love Greece and find it relaxed and quite casual. Have a great time!!

WhereAreWeNow · 12/07/2023 13:54

Panache, Freya or Bravissimo bikini. You can often find discontinued styles/colours very discounted on places like Brastop.

Thank you! Love that Jumpsuit, the colour is amazing. That skirt with the little crop top looks so good. Never usually buy separates but this would solve a problem.

Yes, exactly! I tried on one of my wrap dresses and it was hilarious. It pushed my boobs to the middle.. But just OUT.
Love the colour of that dress and looks all airy and cool. Thank you!

Thank you for the swimsuit suggestions, I'll check out the companies that cater to larger cup sizes.

Square neck swimsuits ? Are they cup sized ? I am a 30GG and assumed the swimsuits wouldn’t fit me so I am hopeful now ..

I'm a 34 FF and have just got back from Greece. I find Brastop can be good for bikini tops as they only sell for larger sizes - try and find one that is fairly plain and then you can match it with bottoms from wherever you like. Just chuck a loose shirt over the top unbuttoned when you want sun protection. If you're reasonably toned under the bust then a pair of loose widelegged trousers and a crop top/sports bra style bikini top would work.

I wore wide legged cargo trousers and a linen t shirt that was loose but clingy as I need to cover my shoulders but otherwise wide legged linen trousers or a skirt and a vest top would work well.

For evening I wore empire line dresses with a cropped shirt or cardigan knotted at the front so I had the waft of the skirt and the definition of the knotted top.
