Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream - Worth the hype?

I noticed that they do a smaller and therefore more affordable size, there's also a travel bag with spray & shower gel as well, or just the cream?

What do you think? Worth a little Friday treat?!

I love it! I have bombing dia, the original and the newest one -smells like baccarat.

I personally think it's a great moisturiser. It can last two days on me. Skin has never looked or felt as good.

I do use ameliorate scrub as well 2x per wk.

I tend to buy it when there's 20% off or when they have the biggie biggie bum bum cream available usually at Christmas. Been wearing it for around 3 yrs now. Always get asked what I'm wearing.

I love it! If you’re looking at minis why not try this set with all three? The other two scents are better than the original IMO

It advertises that is is made with Cupuacu butter, but on the ingredients list, it is about the 10th ingredient, so it is really a minor add-in.

The body shop Body Butters are mostly Shea butter, with it being the second ingredient after water, so it is a better bet if you want a more natural body cream.

Saying that, the Sol de Janeiro is very light texture compared to Body Shop, but I find the fragrance overpowering. I received a small one in a gift basket.

Have a look on Vinted. Quite a few bits for sale on there. Just make sure you check the sizing on the cream as there are various sizes and it's easy to think you're getting a good deal then find out when it arrives that it's smaller.

It's always a good time to check Vinted and Ebay after there's been a GWP with Sol de Janeiro 😉

i really liked it, it is a bit woody/masculine with a lot of sugary sweetness

DH was asking if I was wearing after shave though 😁 he said it smelt masculine

The red one is boring

I had a tester in one of my advent calendars, I was dubious at the hype but I love it! I have the shower gel now as well haha. The aldi dupe is vile though.

I bought a travel set with the cream, shower gel and fragrance and wasn't impressed with any of it. Fragrance was OK but quickly wore off and didn't find the cream moisturising at all. Definitely would not re-purchase.
