Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream - Worth the hype?

I noticed that they do a smaller and therefore more affordable size, there's also a travel bag with spray & shower gel as well, or just the cream?

What do you think? Worth a little Friday treat?!

I get the bom dia cream and first in the same scent, I love it!

Will agree though that's it's not the best moisturiser around (ameliorate wind there) but I just love the smell and it lasts all day.

I've bought the travel kit that comes with the body spray and shower gel too as they are good sizes for my impending holiday. I used a 20% Cult Beauty code so helped justify it to myself ☺️ I absolutely love the full on gourmand scent (reminds me of Love by Killian) and the packaging. That said I'm normally a Superdrug Vitamin E body cream gal as it is cheap as chips and performs marvellously.

I'm not in the UK, so I have no idea if it's available, but my regular body lotion is Desert Essence in Sweet Almond or Italian Lemon.

I get the Bom Dia cream and spray. Very summery. The cream is very moisturising.

Hmmm, it sounds like the type of smell I might like, I'm tempted just for that!

love it, mostly for the smell though, not sure it's that different from any other cream. And the body sprays are great as well, last an entire day.

I just bought some last weekend and used it on my legs Monday morning and a guy I don’t know well at work stopped me and asked me what my perfume was.

I told him burberry but looking back I wonder if it was the bum bum cream he could smell!

anyway it smells nice, not sure the smell lasts. I put some on my arms and legs this morning and can’t smell it now

I like the smell but it’s overpriced for what it is.

Apparently Aldi has a dupe out, so if the smell is good I'd try that. I found it overhyped and went back to the lemon and limey Soap and Glory body butter.

No, it smells nice but its nothing special or magical.

It smells amazing and is fairly moisturising - but so are lots of cheaper options. & other stories do a dupe which is the most accurate smellwise - the Coco de Perle range, it's not as moisturising though but still good. My whole family use it (apart from the 8 month old), I have some SDJ bum bum just for me though

I had a random man compliment me on my perfume as I walked past his house earlier this week - I wasn't wearing any, so I assume it was the lingering scent of the Bum Bum cream. (I'd stopped to say hello to his dog, so it wasn't quite as odd as it sounds!)

I've also had the lady on the tills at Tesco ask me what perfume I was wearing when I had used the Coca Cabana version. I think that is more overpowering though as it's quite coconutty, so I'm not quite as keen.

Anyway, my point is that the fragrance stays on me, so it's worth it if you like the scent. I wouldn't buy it otherwise though, it's quite expensive if you just want a moisturiser.

Nice smelling but not better than cheap body lotion I have (Nivea and aveeno )

I didn’t like it at all. I hate strongly scented products and didn’t think it was anything special .

The bum bum cream is nice but the Bom Dia Bright one is Amazing

I love the Bom Dia one. It smells amazing, and like others have said, lasts all day.

I have also bought the milky leave-in hair conditioner spray - smells beautiful and makes my hair so soft!

I bought some due to the hype. I hated it. Smelt sickly sweet and wasn't any different to other moisturisers. Gave it away.

I really like it! I have purchased several times.
you might like Victoria secret bare vanilla though. They do a spray, body lotion and body wash. 2 for £24 or 4 for £36 on next. Good sizes too and you can test them out in next stores now. I get asked what scent I’m wearing all the time when I use it. Like the bum bum cream it reminds me of holiday.

Actually picked the aldi version up today (inspired by a thread here where poster was enamoured by male colleague wearing bum bum)
Its nice,.but can't imagine people going as mad as they have for it!
