Short sleeved knee length dress summer

I’m after short sleeved knee length dresses for summer, sort of work suitable but doesn’t have to be work wear. Don’t mind if it’s above knee but not too far above.

No mini dresses or midi dresses. No dresses with loads of material (swing?)

Saw someone wearing a lovely dress which wax mostly white with a red print, sort of squares and which fitted my criteria. Wish I’d asked her where it was from now!

Any ideas?

The Mountain Warehouse dresses if you’re 5ft 5 like I am where do they sit in relation to length?

I'm 5ft 7 and it's about an inch and a half above my knee.

I'm 5ft2 and the mountain warehouse ones sit literally just on the top of my knee. Perfectly knee length for me but I am short!

No it was far more white with fine red print over it. I think from her voice she was English so although not an English brand you could buy it here.

The Whistles one is nice though. I just tried one of my dresses that I thought could work and nope it’s above knees. And I don’t want to be showing that length at work in bare legs!

That’s nice but I’m not an 8! Quite funny Vinted considers a 12 as a large 😂!

Argh! I love that green! I’m in work tomorrow and there’s an Oliver Bonas there so I’ll try it on if they have it.

I’ve got two other OB covets, a sheer green blouse and greens striped skirt.

That’s my next stop.

I did place an order with Next and one of their own brand plus a Sosander one.

The MW ones are also on my list. Would never have thought of there in a million years!

It's cotton as well, so good for the summer. I have absolutely no need for a new dress, but have ordered it anyway.

I tried Vinted but there’s so much (too much?!) choice. When I have more time I’ll definitely look there again.

In cotton is even better, go for it! I love that green.

OB for years I wasn’t so pleased with their own brand things but they’ve upped their game and quality in past few years and it’s one of my favourite shops now. Before it was mostly jewellery!

Bit too midi but thanks. I have so many midi or midaxi dresses.

I have bought several from the local garden centre (sounds grim I know) which is part of the Blue Diamond chain with a brand called Cerulean (= blue in Latin) but they are cotton-linen blend, not see-through, short sleeved and knee length so suitable for work

Seasalt Woodrush is my favourite at the moment . Organic cotton and so comfortable. I got two on eBay.
