Because the roche posay anthehelios that I bought at great expense does, and badly.

What is pilling??????

NowZeusHasLainWithLeda · 14/06/2023 11:55

LRP has dimethicone near the top of its ingredients list. That's what's causing the pilling. Common silicone and PITA!

Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF50 Super UV liquid is basically a dupe of the La Roche Posay, but cheaper.
I switched a few years ago and actually like it better than LRP.

Love this stuff also.

Actually most of the year unless I feel I need extra moisture (and I won't be outside much) I pretty much wear this all year every day. Don't bother with general moisturiser anymore. Sits perfectly under make up

What is pilling??????

it's when you're rubbing a product into your face and it just balls up into little dots.

dragonbreaths · 14/06/2023 12:07

I'm using Nuxe factor 50 face and body this year, and really like it. Doesn't sting my eyes and no rash/ spots. Fine under make up

ScrambledSmegs · 14/06/2023 12:11

I love the LRP Anthelios Age Correct one which feels like a moisturiser and I wear it every day. It works well under makeup and doesn't give my skin a white cast.

I know it's LRP but it's a much better formulation than the Invisible Fluid, it doesn't contain the high levels of silicone that cause the so called 'Oil-Free' formulations to pill.

Ambre Solaire Over Makeup spray works well for me

thaisweetchill · 14/06/2023 12:16

Sun Bum - highly recommend

ScrambledSmegs · 14/06/2023 12:17

Also - Altruist. A fabulous dermatologist-designed sunscreen range that I've been introduced to this year. We now have nearly the full range here in our house, I use the face cream on the kids as it's so gentle.

The only drawback is that it does leave a slight white cast due to containing titanium dioxide, but that's a small price to pay as it's just so good.

Dermatologist Sunscreen & Care | ALTRUIST

High quality sunscreen at the lowest possible price. Our mission: reduce the incidence of skin cancer through the increased use of quality sunscreen.

The Garnier dupe of LRP or Bondi Sands : I use that year round and it’s gives a nice glow under make up

BEAUTY OF JOSEON - Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotic SPF50+

I order it through stylevana.

It's Korean and just sinks into the skin. I bought it after it was recommended by a dermatologist that I follow online. She mostly recommends French pharmacy products and also recommends Eucerin, La Roche Posay, etc. Beauty of Joseon is fantastic - I've lent it to friends and family who now buy.

Heliocare 360 oil free

I second this

MiniCooperLover · 14/06/2023 12:40

Clinique City60 is great.

MiniCooperLover · 14/06/2023 12:40

Sorry, City50

CatMattress · 14/06/2023 13:48

Bondi beach face fluid is great

MadEyeJudy · 14/06/2023 14:22

Supergoop is pricey but good! I bought it as I have problems with SPF stinging my eyes. This neither pills nor stings , it feels like the 'Smashbox' og primer on skin not like a claggy cream so works under makeup too.

bibbingo · 14/06/2023 14:26

I like the Bondi Sands one.

loverofpants · 14/06/2023 16:29

Supergoop!

LittleBoPeepHasLostHerShit · 14/06/2023 16:32

Eucerin is a bloody revelation. Best one I've ever tried on my greasy skin and it's not expensive either.

SongThrushFeather · 14/06/2023 16:33

Riemann p20 spf 50 for the face.

EmmaStone · 14/06/2023 12:53

I use this Garnier one, think it's great:

I also use this. It doesn't pill, leave a white cast or sting eyes and it works great under makeup.

Beachlovingirl · 14/06/2023 18:47

I’ve got the bondi sands spf 50 and doesn’t pill even after putting on after moisturiser. I also got the tesco one last year and it was a fiver or less and was also really good and no pilling.

KipG · 14/06/2023 18:52

Eucerin actually pills really badly on me. Disappointing as I like the texture otherwise. Lots of products on my skin since using retinol. Biore watery essence doesn't though, and would recommend generally.
