Nice stuff in matalan!

Spent the morning looking for summer dresses. Very limited here but tried Next, H&M, sainsburys and Asda. All awful. Could have cried at one point, I had a moment of 'who the hell even am I?!' when I saw myself in yet another terrible dress.

Anyway, I hit the jackpot in matalan. So many lovely dresses. Great colours, nice fit, bra friendly. Bought 5 and even better they were all half price!

I love Matalan home wear, but rarely find clothing that I like. A few weeks ago though I found a dress I really liked and bought it. I hadn't tried it on and ended up taking it back for a smaller size the next day. Glad I did as they sold out very quickly. The first time I wore it out a woman told me "really like your dress" which never, ever happens to me!

Last summer I found the perfect casual linen trousers there - a jogger cut with cuffed ankles, relaxed but not too loose and flappy, and really nice and cool for the summer. Should've bought two pairs because I'm basically living in them in this hot weather and they haven't come back this summer 😞

Thanks for this, I tend to wear a lot of mens shorts for the pockets.

Aw, how are people getting discount codes? I went in today and bought a couple of longer length skirts really lovely. The jewellery is dissappointing though and I thought they would have some sun hats in but no. They had a lovely flowered kimono it I wanted it for Glastonbury but I wasnt sure if it was too much like a dressing gown.

I got this and it's become my staple, is so comfy and cool for work.

I have the loyalty card thing ‘matalan rewards’ - you get 20% off via an email code on a very frequent basis, plus some paper mailings which also have a code in.

Most of their stuff is horribly synthetic for my tastes.

YET I did find a great quality cotton nightie in the sale. Even if it wasn’t quite my size !
