To add what I'm considering is not flows, silky or wedding-dress-like in any way. I just know at one time this was a big no-no. A friend is also wearing ivory !

Is it plain or patterned? If plain, it's a no, if patterned it might be ok depending on the pattern

If it's heavily patterned it might be OK but otherwise no

Ivory really is white, isn’t it? Not a great idea.

Best be cautious, so don't do it.

Have you got a photo of the dress? If it's predominantly ivory though then I wouldn't say it was appropriate.

No it’s not OK

No. Many brides wear ivory or cream.

It's just not done for a guest to do so.

Add a picture of the dress or similar one for context.

Initial answer - absolutely not.

If you have to ask the question you probably shouldn't be wearing it.

A black bin bag would be preferable.

I guess it depends on the bride and how well you know her?

I couldn’t have cared less if anyone wore ivory or white at my wedding but I’m guessing from the responses here and previous threads some people would.

I seriously wouldn't. There must be something else you can wear?
