What the hell has done this to my Miracle Oil rubber pipette?!!

So I've had this on the go since Christmas twice weekly or so use and it's been sat happily on an open shelf on a rack next to the sink. No direct sun or heat get near it.

Just looked at it while brushing my teeth and the pipette has a perfect round hole in and it looks and feels like, when I stick a clean cotton bud in as if something has melted it. So weird

What on earth could have caused this?!!

I'm gutted it was gorgeous oil. Wondering whether to decant it into a pot

I was going to say could a mirror have focused light onto it and melted it? But as a pp said the same maybe not. I melted a hole in my dps campervan seat by leaving a compact mirror laying out 😬

Oil can perish rubber so maybe some of the oil has got sucked up into the rubber.

Same thing happened with the rubber on my Aurelia night time facial oil. Decanted and it has been fine. I also assumed it was the oil
and age of rubber

I actually think I popped it - there was one time I used it, and heard a popping noise; after which the hole appeared. The pipette's not working now which is frustrating.

Mine has a hole too but I thought the dog had got hold of it.

Does your pooch suddenly have glowy lovely skin?

So having contacted the manufacturer and heard diddly squat from them I got in touch with Liberty with photos and asked them to pass feedback on for me.

Had a same day reply apologising and offering to either send me a replacement alternative from left over calendar spot (didn't say if o could choose) or a £20 credit to my beauty drop balance! Which I went for.

Excellent service so was chuffed with that. Ended up binning the oil as the rubber had actually actually melted and not the oil and had sent it all black

Calendar stock, rather

I went to use my Miracle Oil and couldn't use it due to the stopper. Liberty also offered me something from the Advent calendar or £20 credit. I was thinking of asking for the Peony Couture perfume but I can no longer smell the fragrance so went for £20 credit.

Same happened to me! I just binned it- I thought I must have knocked it onto its side.

Ooooo interesting! My mum got me the Liberty advent calendar for Christmas and I put them all into a basket in a cupboard (cool and dry). Went in there yesterday and mine looks exactly the same! It’s been upright the whole time! Will get in touch with them I thought it was just a bit of a strange one off but evidently not!

The reviews on the Miracle Oil website mention issues with the pipette too.
