Thank you you've made me reorder the navy and pink one which I had returned as I'm liking it more and more after the comments!

@Nodinnernogift no chance of pashminas or fascinators, the wedding is abroad and fascinators are definitely not a thing there. Can't promise anything on the matchy shoes and bag though as I am clueless!

If I do end up with the navy and pink dress what shall I wear on top If it gets cold? I worry that the pattern can easily turn into granny's curtains or mother of the bride if not styled properly!

The black and pink one is actually navy and pink. I think I like this as a dress the best but feel like the length doesn't work for me and makes me look frumpy? If it was shorter I would go for that one I think.

There is also a lot of material (also a good thing as it is very nice quality) but I feel like it maybe makes me look bigger?

The navy and pink one wins hands down. It fits you well and you don't look "frumpy" in it all. The white one comes second and the navy one is the least flattering.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 24/05/2023 22:38

I think I’d wear a little navy plain cardigan over the top if chilly

Blazer over shoulders.

NatashaDancing · 25/05/2023 21:32

Not a blazer. If you are wearing a jacket it should be fitted and no longer than the waist of the dress. 3/4 sleeves would be nice.

That is the look of the 90's. I'm talking about draping a blazer over her shoulders if she feels cold. My daughter did it at a wedding in Portugal last year and it looked really nice. Had lots if compliments on how chic she looked

Catingle · 26/05/2023 15:33

Navy and pink floral by a country mile, lovely fit on you! I think that length looks elegant rather than frumpy.

finished31 · 26/05/2023 19:27

Unless your elderly you don't wear a pashmina! ever

Blue & Pink is lovely

Honeyroar · 27/05/2023 15:08

Won’t the blue one be a bit hot for a wedding abroad?

Not all of 'abroad' is hot.

WeddingDespair · 31/05/2023 19:35

Sorry I'd missed the latest updates but yes @Honeyroar it's not a hot kind of abroad (Northern europe).

You've all convinced me, I reordered the blue and pink and I'm happy with it I think! The material is nice, it feels very comfortable and looks nice and wedding.

Just wondering if I should do with or without the belt? Does it add unnecessary material and draw attention to my middle too much? Obviously I'd get rid of the threads that keep the belt in place if I go without.

I would go without belt.

changewhale · 31/05/2023 20:45

Gorgeous! (No belt)

amoretti · 31/05/2023 20:48

I don't like any of them or the sandals. I think they're all really frumpy.
Sorry but you did ask.

I'd want something more elegant and glamorous with some gorgeous high heels!

Theblacksheepandme · 31/05/2023 20:54

I do think you need nicer heels but I definitely dont think the dress is frumpy. You have an amazing figure OP. The heels just look a little old fashioned.

PrincessofWellies · 31/05/2023 20:55

With the belt as its designed to look like a wrap dress. The shoes aren't great. If you don't want to splash out on a new pair have a look at Vinted. There's loads of weddingy shoes on there, only worn once!

WeddingDespair · 31/05/2023 21:04

Yes, still looking for shoes, preferably without an ankle strap. Any suggestions welcome!

With the belt.

The shoes are fine!

Chickenlicken15 · 02/06/2023 21:21

The navy and pink dress looks better without the belt the colour really suits you think your shoes are fine you look lovely enjoy the wedding
