Strappy dress over white T-shirt

Can someone point me in the direction of a longish summer dress with straps to wear over a white T-shirt? I'm hopeless with clothes but see this on people and it looks good. I'm size 16, lowish budget!

Bet you're the same age as me. GCSE leavers I wore a topshop skinny rib tshirt under a topshop dress - long, gingham, buttoned. With my green docs.

That one could work. The best way to do it is really to try on t-shirts and dresses in your wardrobe and find out what works together. Not all dresses suit having a t-shirt under and not all t-shirts look good with a dress.

I also love this look OP and can never find the right sort of dresses, i don't care if it's 'in' or not I just want to pretend it's the late 90s! I like the asda one linked above.

I went to Asia recently and this was a big look there, and I liked it. Solves the issue of bra straps showing too!

I love this style and I’m still partial to a dress over jeans situation.

My DD saw a picture of me wearing black leggings under a sixties dress from approximately 1990 and clarified that I have not changed at all 😀

I'm not sure I will get to wear it this time, I'm a size 22 and I'm my 40s - not going to be so cute on me. I lived in the Topshop dresses for ages back in my teens!

I would make sure you choose a dress that has a heart sort of neckline, and not a straight across one otherwise it will look like an apron, especially if you have a bust (speaking from experience).

I loved this look, particularly the dresses with adidas type stripes down the side. Bring back 1995!

Ah I loved this. I had a great black and white bias cut top shop dress which I wore with over the knee socks and knee high lace up boots. I'd be laughed at if I wore it like that now but it was a great look.

I quite like the strappy, baggy jumpsuit with tshirt underneath look in a bit of a homage which hides my stomach
