Dress for date night

Going on a date with my husband in a couple of weeks time and have no idea what to wear. Don't get to go out often and feel like I either have work or casual clothes. I'm only 5ft and size 10/12. We're going to a nice restaurant and would like to make an effort. I have this dress but suspect it might be a bit too much. It's floor length with an asymmetric hem. Any ideas? If I did buy something new I have a tiny budget of £50

@MinnieMountain I love the knot front skater dress. I do like the other dress as well but my husband hates animal print, I wear it at work and girls nights but not on dates.

The dress is lovely. I'd take it to a tailor and turn it into a midi or knee length.**
