Midi dress with no waist

I'm looking for a dress. It needs to be quite long as I'm tall, so midi or maxi length. I'm slim-ish but have fat around my middle, so don't suit dresses with waists. Colours: I prefer dark if possible or something quite muted. I tried this one, which is a nice fit and shape, but just looks cheap and poorly finished up close, and I wasn't sure about the native American motifs: https://www.monsoon.co.uk/embroidered-cami-midi-dress-black-54293401.html

Has anyone seen something in a similar shape, preferably not jersey, but cotton or linen? Or anything long that won't highlight my spare tyres? I usually like Seasalt/Fatface type clothes but can't see anything waistless on their websites at the moment.

It's not for a special occasion, doesn't need to be especially smart, just something for hot days, summer barbecues, etc and preferably under £100.

I also struggle with anything that might show my tummy. This dress is great and the size 16 is full length on me (5'6")

Thanks so much everyone. I've got so many to choose from here. I've ordered the FatFace and River Island and Jigsaw ones suggested. Tried the M&S one but it didn't suit me. And I've got a list of others to try if the two I've ordered are no good. Plus loads of brands to explore which I'd never even heard of before, so even if I don't order this time, I will know where to look next time. Thank you x

I'd love to hear what you think of the Jigsaw one! Especially what the decorative topstitching/embroidery is like, always hard to interpret from photos.

The Jigsaw one was nice quality, both fabric and stitching, but didn't suit me, and also I would have needed to buy a new bra too as the shoulders came in too far to hide my normal bra straps (and finding a comfortable bra is a whole other issue...). But it would be a lovely dress on the right shaped body.

@chairmug Thank you - especially the shoulders.
I seem to choose dresses for 20's me, who didn't need a bra; instead of 50's me, who definitely does. I should probably update that!

This dress is great for bypassing the waist area.

Probably need to get a size smaller than usual though.

Thanks for the heads up on this one @corlan I bought this in a 10 (I'm normally a size 14) and it looks fabulous. Exactly what I've been looking for.

I'm a similar shape , usually loads like that in Zara.

I think I do the same. I used to be willowy before having children, now I'm top heavy with no waist, but I still pick willowy dresses and wonder why they don't work on me...

Snap! Once lean and willowy, now softer and rounder all over.

I've just remembered butterfly bra clips! They hold bra straps between your shoulder blades, creating a racerback shape. Won't make a wonky bra any more comfy though ...
