Midi dress with no waist

I'm looking for a dress. It needs to be quite long as I'm tall, so midi or maxi length. I'm slim-ish but have fat around my middle, so don't suit dresses with waists. Colours: I prefer dark if possible or something quite muted. I tried this one, which is a nice fit and shape, but just looks cheap and poorly finished up close, and I wasn't sure about the native American motifs: https://www.monsoon.co.uk/embroidered-cami-midi-dress-black-54293401.html

Has anyone seen something in a similar shape, preferably not jersey, but cotton or linen? Or anything long that won't highlight my spare tyres? I usually like Seasalt/Fatface type clothes but can't see anything waistless on their websites at the moment.

It's not for a special occasion, doesn't need to be especially smart, just something for hot days, summer barbecues, etc and preferably under £100.

I am much shorter but got a lovely dress in M&S last week (can't find on the website). It's brown sleeveless with a low back but a tie across at bra strap level, fitted around the boobs then gentle flare to the bottom - so the Jane Austen type shape someone mentioned above.

I'm a sort of hourglass in that I do have definite boobs waist and hips but do carry a lot of weight on my lower tummy and this sort of flows around the curves whilst skimming the tummy.

It's maxi in me so would say midi on someone your height.

I got it for holiday/summer days/nights when I have to be a touch more dressy than shorts.

Hi Op, I feel you on the not wanting to Cosshow the tummy. I am so self conscious about this. I bought this dress (in cerise) and it hides a multitude of sins for me. I know it’s polyester but I don’t mind that too much as it fits and feels nice on.

I ordered this one from Great Plains, which I am just about to return as it was too big - but despite the impression given in the photo, it's also quite loose around the waist, and even with a smaller size I'd want to cinch it in with a belt. It's a cotton linen mix and very long - almost ankle length on me and I'm 5'5".
