An alternative to leggings!

I hope someone with a broader idea of clothes can help me, I absolutely love leggings, they are comfy and practical for me but I don’t feel comfortable going out in public in such skin tight clothing (even thick ones) I’d love to hear of trouser alternatives. I’m a 12-14 with a big bum but relatively small waist, my top half is a size 8. I’ve got sensory issues (autistic) and wearing anything tight or restricted (denim) makes me irritable and I can only stand them for a few hours at a time which means multiple outfit changes in a day!
I tried a pair of paperbag waisted light denim jeans but they didn’t look great, the cut wasn’t good.

Look into Acai trousers - I wear their outdoor skinny stretch ones and they’re amazing. Really comfy and fit really well. Much better than jeans!

Linen trousers? I've just bought some really comfy ones in black form river island.

Fab thread, I find leggings really unflattering so it’s great to see some alternatives

I am obsessed with oversized dungarees. Run and Fly are a British company who do the most amazing prints. I have everything from sunflowers to baby orangutans. Choose the ones with stretch for super comfort and they all have big pockets. For work I have super wide leg trousers with elasticated waist from Shein. Under a tenner and they look so elegant. Very comfy.

Cargo pants seem to be back. So cosy

Tops that work with leggings don’t always work with looser bottoms, which is a pain. Fitted on top and wider below, or vice versa, that seems to be how it goes.

I like the look of harem pants,but how tight are they round the ankles?
