Maybe I'm just really poor but I've never heard of any of those brands 🤣 primark always have an array of trainers suitable to wear with dresses, they're cheap, cute, get you from A to B, and because of the low price you can buy a few different colours to mix and match !

👍

Those Fairfax and Favor ones scuff incredibly easily, I love F&F but wouldn’t spend the money on the trainers! I usually just wear my Vans with dresses!

You've never heard of Converse or Adidas?

Catspyjamas17 · 09/05/2023 10:04

I wear plain white Vans and I've got some Converse copies from TU (Sainsbury's).

Catspyjamas17 · 09/05/2023 10:07

Mine are not these as they have a print on them but Sainsbury's are doing these this year. I've got genuine Converse as well and the TU version are just as good quality IMO.

I have black ellesport like these, I got them half price in TKMaxx https://www.bluntsshoes.com/ladies-ellesport-casual-trainers-f7r236/

I advocate dark colours rather than white as white gets stained really badly, really quick. I'm going to have to dye my white ones due to staining, yes I've washed them.

So many options think I need to go to the actual shops and try a few of these on and see what they look like thanks everyone! X

Primark do converse “copies” however i find these and converse too narrow, my go to white pumps are from new look.

LilySavage · 09/05/2023 11:57

Stan smiths every time. Comfiest trainers going

shakeitoffsis · 09/05/2023 12:11

Converse with the chunky sole, new balance 327s or adidas sambas.

Hydrangeatea · 09/05/2023 14:03

So many of the options listed are just too flat footed for me and are uncomfortable. Plus I still like them to be a bit chunky and not plimsoll like.

I discovered Gabor Michaela trainers last year - absolute gamechanger! So comfy but look fantastic with skirts as pure white and a nice wide ribbons style lace.

The best

I’ve just bought these from Superga.

Love these! Just ordered them from M and M Sports for £30 plus p+p. At least it won’t matter too much if they get marked.

I like https://www.gonovesta.com/starmaster. Old-style, retro-looking runners.

I have this pair and a navy leather pair with a white sole. I have been pleasantly surprised on how comfy they are. I have very fussy feet!

Lanvin DBB1 sneakers.
You can get them in all sorts of colour combinations of body and toe cap and they last forever.

I love my Axel Arigato's and New Balance 327's have them both in a couple of colours.

I can't wear heels any longer, since foot surgery, so have a trainer addiction

I’m the same minus the foot surgery - I just don’t do heels anymore.

Interesting about 327s with dresses - have only worn mine with jeans and leggings so far. May have to give it a go this summer.

Yes of course, but the very first 10 or so comments before mine were a variety of brands I had never heard of.

ScarletWitchM · 09/05/2023 19:46

Stan Smith Adidas - I have 5 pairs in various colours/ designs - comfy/ not chunky and timeless

HostessTrolley · 09/05/2023 20:57

What are the soles like on the superga leather ones? I have a pair of canvas ones that I bought a couple of years ago and the soles are so stiff and heavy - literally felt like strapping a brick to the bottom of my feet...

I'm just trying to talk myself out of the olive/plum fairfax and favour ones...
