I've just purchased some Molton Brown handwash , which was about £22 for 300ml which is ok but imo not worth the £22 . I've got some Faith in Nature coming today ( Amazon ) so don't know what it's like yet.
Interested in finding out what your favourites are , which fragrance and why you like it ? Thank you .

Olive oil soap. Kind to your hands and no plastic.

AssertiveGertrude · 03/05/2023 08:33

I know this sounds mad by I use the big refill bottles from Lidl and they are lovely (coconut)

mainly because my son loves soap so it would be too expensive

otherwise I would use the marks and Spencer range (in pretty brown containers near the checkout) as they are lovely

DisplayPurposesOnly · 03/05/2023 08:34

Method sweet water

APurpleSquirrel · 03/05/2023 08:34

I get the Aldi stuff for DC, but personally I prefer bar soap.

hellswelshy · 03/05/2023 08:39

Method botanical garden, it's lovely! Pleases me every time I wash my hands 😀

Lolliesareonme · 03/05/2023 08:51

If you’re happy to spend on Molton Brown, then I give Aesop resurrection a recommendation.

A little bit cheaper, you don’t need a whole pump, smells lovely, and moisturises extremely well.

Scottish Fine Soaps have some nice ones. They're a bit like Molton Brown — they have that 'thick' feel — but are less expensive as a rule. The Au Lait range is especially nice and I also like the Silver Buckthorn, mainly because it reminds me of a stay in a hotel where they used it as the in-room toiletries.

The M&S Fragrance Society and Apothecary ones are pretty good (I think Fragrance Society are dupes of Molton Brown anyway).

I also like liquid Marseille soap; I get it from a French supplier.

I've also been known to use Original Source shower gel in a ceramic pump dispenser as handwash; it works quite well and the stuff is cheap. The Sea Salt and Samphire one especially has a nice scent and isn't too overpowering.

Bath and Body works from Next, its on offer at the moment too.

I like Method lavender hand wash, it smells lovely and comes in a nice looking bottle that can be refilled.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique. I never use anything else in the house.

This is my go to , I absolutely love the smell.

Although recently I've been using Baylis and Harding Oud, Cedar and Amber. It's not a very strong smell but it is gorgeous. And cheap.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 03/05/2023 10:23

We usually have the Method ones - currently lavender but I also love the one with green monkeys on it, I think that may be the one pp mentions. If I’m in TK Maxx I always get a random hand wash to try from there.

I picked up Bayliss and Harding rhubarb for the utility and while I know MN hates this brand, it is really nice!

tobee · 03/05/2023 16:57

Re the Faith in Nature I've had the rose, the grapefruit and the coconut. They're all nice but especially the first 2.

I don't go a bundle on the bottle design.

Skandinavisk are nice but even more expensive than Molton Brown.

Agree with a pp about Scottish Fine Soaps- I especially like Goat Milk and Avocado and the Tangled Rose as well as Au Lait

RuthTopp · 03/05/2023 18:36

Some good suggestions there - thank you

@tobee

It was the rose one I ordered.

Method makes 2 of us in the house itch like fury.

M&S Almond milk one is a winner here. Smells lovely and not mega expensive. Also love the Waitrose Chamomile one, which is cheap as chips.

Too much writing! Grin

Molton Brown rhubarb is my favourite. Or Aldi pomegranate.

babyproblems · 03/05/2023 20:07

Diptyque.

Not the one with exfoliating bits in, the comforting hand wash one. Makes you feel like you’re in a 5 star hotel every time you wash your hands. All our guests comment on it!

NESTI DANTE Il Frutteto Fig and Almond Milk liquid soap is lovely!

I've being eyeing that one up every time I fall for one of their candles

Leftoverssandwich · 03/05/2023 20:17

Does the Diptyque last? I adore their fragrances but it’s very hard to justify their prices for handwash.
