Pencil eyeliner that really stays on?

Any recommendations? preferably easy to apply and in dark brown but if not black's fine too, it just needs to stay on.

I have the same problem with the Stay Perfect eyeliner - they are one of the worst for me! I’ll be interested in the final result for the Maybelline.

I have a Kylie one that won’t smudge even when I want it to! Lasts all day and doesn’t want to come off!

If you take a flat eyeshadow brush (or a small concealer brush) and use dark eyeshadow you can just sort of smudge it over the eyeliner - also great for disguising any wobbly lines and gives a nice smoky look.

Mac doesnt move

I found the Boots Natural Collection one stays well if you like a smokey/soft look, but wouldn't recommend if you like a strong or defined line.

Estee Lauder does a 'double wear' in Onyx, which is an off-black, really flattering and lasts all day even in humid conditions.

the Charlotte Tilbury double-sided ones are pretty good too.

another vote for VB kajal. I've been buying eyeliner for 40 years and tried just about everything out there, these are the best I've ever used. Beautiful colours, subtle or strong depending on application and blendable. And they stay put, I don't think I've ever needed to reapply. I love them so much I have 5 different colours.

Hiya, the VB is the vest one on the market, colours are beautiful, stays put all day and night, has its own smudger on the opposite end, come with a pensil sharpener , all VB makeup is excellent, it will last ages, I use all of her makeup, it is very classy 🥰

I use Bobbi brown and then set it with black powder eyeshadow. Stays in place all day.

Another vote for Victoria Beckham. So easy to use and doesn’t budge. Lovely colours.

I love the Sisley waterproof phyto star pencils - I have the greasiest eyes but this stays put and doesn't smudge all day....

@BeetrootPicklePlease I've just ordered the liner, I will let everyone know if it lives up to the claims.

I just got this L'Oréal one. It's pretty good and retractable so no sharpening which is a win in my book!

Oh and it was £6 or something!

Do people still put eyeliner on the waterline? It’s so bad for you, you have glands all along your waterline that help keep your eyes moisturised and anything on the waterline will clog them and cause dry eye disease

@SheikYerboutiii , I couldn't believe that anyone did this. I'm not keen on mascara, because eyelashes are there to keep stuff out of the eyes.

And I came on to say the opposite. I've recently bought 2 and they wipe straight off! Absolutely no staying power. That said there is definitely no drag when applying 😬

I use this and it vanishes after a few hours and smudge. Although it was fab to begin with I now think it’s a bit crap.

Another vote for the Maybelline tattoo liner, the 'smokey' version is the best. Someone on here recommended it before Christmas.

I have very watery eyes and oily eyelids and whilst it isn't 100% perfect, it's pretty close and the only one I've repeat purchased.

Update on the Beauty and boutique eye liner, I wore it today for the first time, good points, it stayed all day under my bottom lid, no smudges at all, better then anything I have tried before, even beating my dior one, but in the water line, no, it didn't stay on long.

Give it another try. Keep your eyes open for a minute or two after you've applied it to let it 'set'. Really does stay on on the waterline for me when I do that

I bought a brown one on ebay - used but I sharpened it a lot
