Outfit for posh day do!

I have been looking for a lovely dress and jacket for an outside posh day do in 2 weeks! I have about £300 to spend possibly a bit more if I find the perfect outfit. I'm coming up blank - I'm 60, size 14, my hairs a reddish brown bob. Once I have the outfit I'll look for shoes. Last time, for a similar occasion, I wore a lilac spotty dress and plain jacket to match (which I'd worn at a wedding). I'm starting to panic!

@Karatema gorgeous dress - you also have choices of colours in it for shoes and jacket etc. Have a fab time 😁

I love that dress, OP.

I would head to a big John Lewis with an appointment with their personal shopper.

I had a similar situation, and found the personal shopper pulled out some lovely things I'd never have looked at, which fitted the brief and settled on a lovely dress (I'd have dismissed as too loud for the event) and jacket (I'd have thought too pink - it was bright!), but together looked fabulous.

Another vote for Bombshell - particularly recommend the Grace dress.

Have you tried Vinted? I got a lovely Jacques Vert BNWT for a wedding for £20 recently. Also a phase 8 BNWT for a similar amount. I am mid 50’s so there’s certainly plenty that would suit the bill on there

Go to John Lewis to try on, or online. Fabulous dress, jackets etc there.

I work in Alie Street. I had no idea it was a thing. I feel this is a sign for me to buy something. The dress is lovely. That Phase Eight one is gorgeous.
I have issues with jumpsuits. How are you meant to do them up/go to the loo without help?

That's the standout one posted. Very nice. The Wolfand Badger dress would be lovely if it didn't have the cut out back.

There's so many lovely dresses available. These are some of the sites I've bookmarked.
