Hyaluronic acid serum

I've just come to the end of the Dr Barbara Sturm hyaluronic acid serum sample from the liberty box. Sadly, for a product that's £250 a bottle, I've had amazing results with it, my skin loves it. I cannot justify spending £250 so looking for a good alternative. I have the Boots Ingredients one for a fiver, but (as Joe Lycett would say) it doth butter no parsnips!

Any recommendations?

Lidl have a good one and you'll get a lot of change from £250

£250 for a bit of hyaluronic serium!?!? £650 if you want 100ml of it. Mind blown.

The Inkey List does a good one (imo) and at about £18 for 100ml.

I don't even know why I bothered googling it to see the price tbh, I know it was going to be mental before even started typing 😄

Thanks for the suggestions!

Try The Ordinary brand.

I liked the Sturm hyaluronic serum a lot but since money is very much the object at the moment I've been using up my advent calendar items. I've given this a go and was pleasantly surprised. It's not as fine-textured as the Sturm serum but it's definitely doing the job and is 10% the price. (sorry for the long link!)

I've tried quite a few from high end (Barbra Storm) to cheap (the ordinary). I like the beauty pie one.

It's £20 but you have to have membership.

QuicheQuoche · 22/03/2023 14:08

Pai have just launched one, their products are fantastic and the only range I use as my skin is a bloody nightmare. Not cheap but not Dr Barbara prices!

HoneyPotBee · 22/03/2023 14:30

I use Este Lauder night prepare and The Ordinary.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 22/03/2023 16:08

I love this one from Pestle & Mortar. (also love their 'superstar' night oil)

Hopelesslydevotedtoshrews · 22/03/2023 16:13

I use Hado Labo and can really tell if I haven't used it.

Farmageddon · 22/03/2023 16:19

There are two dermatologists on youtube who review products and they recommend L'Oreal Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid Serum and The Inkey List HA as affordable alternatives to the Barbara Sturm serum.

Here is the video where they mention it -

There are a few on eBay but they are still £100 plus.

Malariahilaria · 22/03/2023 17:07

Paula's Choice and Caudilie are my favourite mid range brands. I see a genuine difference when I use their stuff. £30 to £40 rather than £250.

Fluffodils · 22/03/2023 17:08

Vichy 89

JerkintheMerkin · 22/03/2023 17:09

@Hopelesslydevotedtoshrews I do love the Hado Labo one also.

ThePoshUns · 22/03/2023 17:10

EggyBreads · 22/03/2023 17:26

Best hyularonic acid is Hada Labo, about £15 for a big bottle.

@Hopelesslydevotedtoshrews

Would you mind linking to which one please? TIA 😊

KrasiTime · 22/03/2023 17:39

I use Cerave. Think around £20 from boots.

user567543 · 22/03/2023 17:45

You can get 20 percent off Sturm - it was in space nk’s recent promo, of course it’s still over priced…I’ll try some but honestly I don’t know what magic she has in it, I’ve tried skinceuticals HA and many others and not been able to replicate the effect.

WhyMeLord · 22/03/2023 17:58

Thanks everyone. I'll give a few of these a try
