Slip dresses like in the 90s

I’ve seen in All Saints but I don’t like the lacy top. I’ve looked elsewhere, but I must have missed something. Any ideas? You know the ones, to go with a T shirt underneath.

Zara usually do a version every year, I do love the All Saints ones though.

Isn't it a shame C&A have closed! That's where I used to get all my silky petticoats in the 90s. I had one that I got in the sale for 99p and wore it as a ball gown. Those were the days 😊

Have you have a look on Asos? They’ve got a lot of 90s stuff in.

I’ve had a look at ASOS (how hadn’t I thought of it?!) and trawled through 800+ dresses. But many have frills, ruffles, mesh, straps, cut outs for shoulder, arse, boobs, legs, sometimes all at the same time. I did find a couple closer to my taste, though too short and I think I’m after a darker colour.

No help but this reminds me of Courtney Love's style in the 90s and I bloody love it!!

@AtLeastThreeDrinks thank you, I’ve now ordered one in green and one in black. I remember having bought & returned their similar one in velvet as it didn’t fit right, I hope this suits better. I hadn’t seen it on their website. It’s at a great price, £36 reduced from £120.

My daughter got one from new look a few weeks ago. It came with a little white t-shirt to wear underneath and is cotton.

I have a black one from H&M I brought a few years ago for £5 in the sale, and I have a green shimmer one from mint velvet sale.

This is all good to hear, there’ll probably be more of them around. Of course, one of the problems is that so many shops have shut down, it’s difficult to just go for a wander. I am in London, so I know it shouldn’t be that difficult, but I don’t want to waste a day on Oxford Street.

@LadyHenrique I hadn’t hear of the Olive brand. They have a few nice blouses. But when did size 14 become the largest in the drop-down menu?! I know they don’t have to cater for all sizes, but even so (they do UK 6 to 14).

Well, I’ve sent back the Boden dresses. The fabric is so thin and it just looked a bit shapeless. I went into town and had a look in Superdry, Hollister and a few others and I concluded that I give up for the time being.
