Hello, i'm looking for thick, non shiny black mostly cotton leggings. NOT gym leggings, I don't want shiny material, does anyone have any that they love? TIA

Following. I have the Boden favourites but they are a bit too thick sometimes and a bit tight in my normal size.

DorritLittle · 14/03/2023 11:20

I also wish they were a bit higher in the waist. Apart from that they aren’t bad!

bubbles2023 · 14/03/2023 11:41

M&S are great. They do a wide waist band legging that are very comfy and flattering.

I've got high waisted cotton leggins like the op describes from Matalan, which are great and low price. Much preferred to Boden, which bobbled. Also M&S, although their sizing came up big on the waist

Uniqlo.

I have the fleece lined ones from m and m direct, only £5 and are the best.

I second this. They are called Magic leggings

90% polyester though. OP specifically wanted cotton!

I buy Lands' End Starfish leggings. They are a little roomy on the hips but everything is for me because my hips are tiny compared to my waist.

pinkyvase · 14/03/2023 13:42

Girlfriend collective compression leggings are the best I've found - thick, stretchy, high-waist and so comfy. Expensive but they last so well, I have three pairs now.

grannycake · 14/03/2023 13:44

Mine are from BAM. Matt, thick and very comfortable once on. You do need to wriggle a bit!

My favourites over the years have been from Monsoon. I don’t know whether they still do them, but they’re thick stretchy cotton, deep waistband, and last for years.

All sold out online and my local shop does not stock them. I have 5 pairs and wear them all winter.

dreamingofsun · 14/03/2023 14:53

starfish ones from landsend. in the sale.

I love Mint Velvet's leggings. Great fabric and suck you in without feeling tight.

ImAvingOops · 14/03/2023 15:43

Weirdly Morrisons ones. Not the two packs. They are thick, wide waistband, keep their shape when washed and are not shiny.

I have a pair of LoveLeggings and they are matte, very thick and have stayed in good nick. Very comfortable too.

Cleethorpes · 14/03/2023 19:21

Another vote for mint velvet.

I used to love these but they've entirely changed. They're still great round the waist, but baggy round my legs and ankles now. So disappointing!
