Best tinted moisturiser

yaboreme · 02/03/2023 21:43

Looking for a tinted moisturiser for sensitive skin. My skin is dry and my current foundation is looking a little 'cakey' so wanting something more natural looking.

I've tried a few but my skin is sooo sensitive, currently off the list are Nivea, L'Oreal & No 7.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as reasonably priced as possible.

Thanks

Erborian CC cream - get a sample first

crazyaboutcats · 02/03/2023 23:44

I love the Nars one and have very sensitive skin and it's been fine. It's not the cheapest but seems to last me a long time

Rainmakerof69 · 03/03/2023 07:02

Mix your usual foundation and moisturiser together, at least you know neither irritate your skin.

I’ve started using Erborian CC crème, and it is wonderful.

Shitfather · 03/03/2023 08:44

YSL Nu is magnificent. Ask for a tester or from Boots or a dept store.

MotherAbigail · 03/03/2023 08:59

Another vote for Erborian CC cream here

yaboreme · 03/03/2023 09:06

Thanks so much!!!

@crazyaboutcats I looked at this one but couldn't find anywhere that stocked it to get a sample. I've been on the website and done the skin match but it brings up foundation

Another vote for Nars but pricey!
Try Findation website for colour match. Always been spot on for me.

I've been using a La Roche Posay BB cream that is fantastic. Otherwise I'm a Laura Mercier girl.

So1invictus · 03/03/2023 09:38

BB and CC creams (especially the Asian ones) are much heavier and give fuller coverage than a tinted moisturizer. I have Erborian BB and I use it when I want more coverage than my foundation (so for an evening). CCs are heavier still- I've got the IT Cosmetics CC and would use that instead of a full coverage foundation like Doublewear.

If you're pale skinned, then lots of CCs will tango you. The lightest Erborian CC makes me look like something from Love Island. The IT one I have is a tad too dark for this time of year, but ok for summer.

I think Laura Mercier and Nars are the holy grails for tinted moisturizers.

The best one I've found is Estée Lauder Sheer Tint Moisturiser. It leaves your skin so dewy and healthy looking and no cake look at all. I've tried loads and keep going back to this.

BloodyHellKen · 03/03/2023 10:03

I've just discovered Pixi Rose Radiance Perfector if you want a pink sort of glow rather than the usual tan/brown look. I think it's great :)

CalmDownBoris72 · 03/03/2023 16:46

Nars for me too.

Fruitloopcowabunga · 03/03/2023 16:56

I love the Lumene one, colours very limited though. The smell and texture are lovely, they go on paler than they look in the pot.

Donnashair · 03/03/2023 17:02

I use Eborian CC. But I think it only suits certain undertones, I find.

tobee · 03/03/2023 17:12

I got a little pot of the Nars one yesterday to try. I got colour matched (in store) as Norwich. Bit of a disappointing name when there's other shade names like Havana, Marrakesh and St Moritz. Grin

😂 do you think they're going to rename all their shades after British towns for the UK market? I'll suddenly be Mablethorpe instead of St. Moritz?

LadyLapsang · 03/03/2023 18:15

I normally use Chantecaille, but I just tried Clarins BB Detox Fluid and I am really impressed.

NoMoreLimbo · 03/03/2023 18:17

Another vote for Erborian here. I use their green tinted cream to reduce the red tone in my skin (rosacea) and I also use their cc cream. Their eye cream is great too.

CatflapFlapjack · 03/03/2023 18:20

Another vote for NARS as it has SPF too. I also like the Charlotte Tilbury one

CheeseandGherkins · 03/03/2023 18:25

@So1invictus I've heard good things about the IT cosmetics cc cream nude glow. Which one do you use and the colour if you don't mind me asking? I need to pick something up online as it's difficult for me to get to a shop that sells it atm. I'm very pale so definitely don't want to look orange!

WellTidy · 03/03/2023 18:29

I used the Laura Mercier ones for years and then tried the Nars one as my local Boots sticks it. I absolutely love it and would not go back to Laura Mercier. The Nars is really light and glowy (but not at all shimmery), has decent coverage nonetheless, the assistant did a colour match which was perfect, and it has staying power. I couldn’t be happier with it. More expensive than what you had in mind, I appreciate.

I have the colour correcting full coverage cream with SPF 50 and it's definitely full coverage. More so than I'm used to tbf. I'm a 1C1 Cool Bone in Estée Lauder and a Calico in N7 if that helps, and my IT CC is Fair Light. I could probably have gone lighter tbh. Will be better on me in the summer!

CheeseandGherkins · 03/03/2023 18:40

@So1invictus thank you, that's very helpful. By the sounds of it I'd probably go for fair ivory then, appreciated as I was actually looking at fair light myself.
