Long and wide legged jumpsuit - toilet logistics support !

Afternoon all

Just that really. I've splurged on a gawjus wide leg and quite long jumpsuit for a formal event in a few months ... purchased early because it's Beautiful and I know darn well and if I leave it until nearer the time to find something I won't. Sods law and all.

But how does one go to the loo in these things without them dragging on a dirty and possibly wee specked floor or dropping the waist tie down the loo? I did some practising at home last night and it's not looking good Confused it has a zip but I still have to get it over both shoulders before safely pulling it down. Oh and the fabric is creasy as too.

I've a feeling I'm going to be taking it back Sad

There is no trick I don't think; you just have to be careful and hold on to it, especially while pissed 😁

I'm doomed then Grin

You have to sort of bunch the material up so you're holding as much as you can.

And don't drink too much 😂

bluelid · 26/02/2023 19:44

Roll up the legs to over your your knees before you take it down?? Quite a commitment on night out though!

SkintyFia · 26/02/2023 20:22

I got completely bladdered wearing mine and have no idea how I got undressed. Usually have to get DH to take the zip down at the back but he wasn't there and I somehow drunkenly contorted myself.

You do what you gotta do 😁

NightOwlNotEarlyBird · 26/02/2023 21:12

I have a few of these I wear in the summer/for holidays but the not-very-creasy type because there is a bit of bunching involved! First pull the legs up and hold them with the knees together, then undo the top part and hold everything with one hand, use your free hand to do your business. Reverse procedure to get it back on. Not sure if that makes sense, it is a bit faffy but mine are lightweight and easy to pack (also without back zip) 😅

dudsville · 26/02/2023 21:20

OP, you're trying to live the dream and i admire that. So, have you tried starting by hoiking the trouser material up and then pinching your knees to keep the fabric in place THEN undoing the zipper and lowering on to the seat? The critical thing to remember is that your knees can either never relax OR you have to remember to hold the material up with your hands whilst sitting.

Have your bit of tissue in one hand before you do anything else!

With some jumpsuits you can pull a leg up and pull it aside with your knickers, do the wee, wipe with aforementioned tissue and let it all go again.

I don’t like sitting in just my bra on public loos so would rather do this trick where possible.

If I was trying not to crease it I would carefully pull / fold the trousers up over themselves to shorten them, then pull the jumpsuit down, so no fabric got on the floor.

Oooh some excellent advice from the coal face here, thanks.

Tissue handy first, good point.

Knees like a vice, will do. Could be a good toning opportunity perhaps?

And god yes agree it's weird to sit on a loo in just ones bra. Feels kind of vulnerable and reminds me of a reoccurring dream I have about trying to find a loo as I'm busting.

Hi f course this advice is all stuff I'll forget 4 Proseccos in Grin

Trying to do it out of one leg sounds very optimistic Grin

Take a couple of clothes peg s in your bag to keep the legs rolled up?

Don't forget to remove them afterwards.

RaininSummer · 27/02/2023 22:43

I appreciate this thread as I have bought a fancy jumpsuit intending to wear it to a wedding and suddenly realised there will be wee related issues. I will have to practice evidentally.

StrawHatOnTheParcelShelf · 27/02/2023 22:50

I'm sure you will look gorgeous OP, but I honestly don't understand the love for jumpsuits on here for this very reason. So impractical to wear, and I can get the same look and better fit, more variety and flexibility from separates.

At least you won't have to strip off in the depths of winter!

Ahhh I know but impracticality aside it looks beautiful on and it fits and drapes in a way that separates never would.

I actually look elegant and chic and those aren't words that have ever described me.

Depending how pissed you get, dont even think about trying this. Alcohol gives us false confidence.

Can we get a link to this jumpsuit?

I'm looking in advance for inspiration for an event outfit.

PosiePerkinPootleFlump · 28/02/2023 21:11

I have no ideas that haven't been mentioned - just here for a link go the jumpsuit....

beguilingeyes · 01/03/2023 10:46

It's not going to the loo that bothers me, it's doing the damn things up! Why is the zip always up the back.
I have a lovely Phase Eight one but I can't do it up without my husband and if I do go to the loo I can't get back into it.
