Afternoon all

Just that really. I've splurged on a gawjus wide leg and quite long jumpsuit for a formal event in a few months ... purchased early because it's Beautiful and I know darn well and if I leave it until nearer the time to find something I won't. Sods law and all.

But how does one go to the loo in these things without them dragging on a dirty and possibly wee specked floor or dropping the waist tie down the loo? I did some practising at home last night and it's not looking good Confused it has a zip but I still have to get it over both shoulders before safely pulling it down. Oh and the fabric is creasy as too.

I've a feeling I'm going to be taking it back Sad

It's not going to the loo that bothers me, it's doing the damn things up! Why is the zip always up the back.
I have a lovely Phase Eight one but I can't do it up without my husband and if I do go to the loo I can't get back into it.

I wonder if the designers sit around the desk laughing at the thought of the contortions people will have to get into to wear these things?!!

Could you put velcro on the leg seams? Then easy to open and swing the legs round your neck when you approach the toilet.

I'll be honest, I'm struggling to picture this.

The responses are pretty funny - it's really not that hard! Just hold the material up as if you are wear a maxi dress or a long skirt.

Not that simple on account of how much fabric there is in the legs. Then the zip part is only small from where my bra sits down to above my waist then I need to get it over my shoulders.

All while remembering not to drop the tie

Confused

So several hands (ideally sober) are required.

If you flick back through MN archives, you will find several mentions of the problems of going out in a jumpsuit and going for a wee. They are just not practical. End of!

....and this is exactly why I don't own a jumpsuit or even a onesie...

I've got one like that, it's honestly fine. Good to have a loo buddy if the zip goes really high at the back, but I've never had to give holding the material up while I'm on the loo more than a passing thought...
