Tell me about your amazing eyebrow pencils!

Ever since it was the height of fashion to have very thing eyebrows in the early ‘00s, mine have been on the sparse side. I’d been using a L’Oréal pencil (I can’t remember the name of it) to fill them in (it was like an actually pencil crayon, instead of the ones that are like felt tips iyswim) buts it’s been discontinued. I’ve tried another of theirs but I just can’t get on with it - it’s disappeared by lunchtime! I’m Caucasian and have dark brown hair if that matters at all.

I'm currently using Rimmel Brow This Way, which is ok, but prefer L'Oreal Brow Artist Xpert or Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil.

Max Factor Brow reviver ( bit like Glossier's Boy Brow) is great because the wand is tiny.

The little fine one like Rimmel brow pro with a brush on the other end is great for me to boost naturally fine brows. Then maybelline express brow (brow mascara) to hold in place.

Benefit goof proof

The Clinique one with the highlighter on the end. I've tried Estée Lauder (several), MAC, Rimmell, and Benefit. Loved the Laura Mercier one but I've changed my hair colour and I can't find one that works now.

Recent convert to the Clinique one, it's lovely. The Laura Mercier is also very good if you can find the right shade.

I’ve tried loads and my favourite is the bog standard Rimmel one with what looks like a mascara wand on the end - you can get them from Amazon for about £4. It’s very powdery in texture which means if you have very fine eyebrows you can make them look naturally built up. The gel / automatic pencils never do much for me. (I’m 42 and used to pluck them to within an inch of their lives when I was younger)!

Nyx ones are excellent and good value.

I think eye brow pencil is where you can definitely go budget range with no difference to product.

By any chance do you mean this style which has been discontinued? Because I love this one and can't find them anywhere for love nor money apart from on Amazon these days!

I got phi brows about 4/5 years ago and get them waxed and tinted every few months.. never looked back!

The L’Oreal one is terrible and rubs off very easily. I like Benefit ‘Precisely, My Brow’ followed by Benefit ‘Gimme Brows’ which is more of a gel.

I use an Avon one by Lisa Armstrong it's a great colour easy to sharpen and has a brush on the other end

REFY is the best one I’ve used

Does anyone find their eyebrows suffer through the use of eyebrow pencils? I don't know whether it's my age or having started using them but they are much more sparse recently.

NYX here too, a very fine twist up pencil with a mascara wand on the other end. Easy to draw on little hair like strokes.

It doesn’t hold the brow hairs in place though am hoping for a product that does both.

Definitely agree with using Benefit Gimme Brow.. easy to apply and holds brows in place
