I am always a bit surprised that these are still sold. I thought they were an early nineties thing.

@rainbowandglitter , but thongs are visible through clothes too.

Not really. Not like fuller knickers. There's nothing to be seen across bumcheeks.

crosspusscrossstitcher · 15/01/2023 15:00

Yep.
Other than a brief Wink episode of "tap" style which were horrendously uncomfortable, polyester and a thrush magnet they're the only ones I'll ever wear.

With an arse the size of mine, I'd lose a thong. Blush

Used to buy Sloggi, but M&S are OK - I miss the "seem-free" ones.

WhoppingBigBackside · 15/01/2023 15:06

@rainbowandglitter , you can often see a little knicker shape at the back, and the knickerline above the buttocks.

This look is usually dark thong, nude leggings stretched over lumpy wobbly buttocks.

hugoagogo · 15/01/2023 15:32

I've never even tried a thong.
We're all different shapes I suppose, high legs came up really high on me <short arse> and never properly covered the arse area. On the plus side the giant leg holes accommodated fat thighs.

I’d rather see a VPL and know they are wearing some than not 🤣

Mabelface · 15/01/2023 15:56

Not with my c- section apron 🤣. Mid rise all the way for me

jay55 · 15/01/2023 16:09

I have fat legs and so high rise or shorts with a loose leg work best for me.

I don't wear tight clothes so no one can see them when I'm dressed.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 15/01/2023 17:13

Yes I do

Nude leggings isn’t most people’s outfit of choice though, so she’s probably alright?

I bought some Jockey recently , by mistake , but I really like them. I was looking for the normal bikini style, and picked up the high leg bikini style instead. They are great. I wish I'd found them before.

No g-strings here .... I don't even like Brazilian as I get a wedgie in minutes and spend most of the day fiddling to get them out my arse.

WhoppingBigBackside · 15/01/2023 17:50

@ComfortablyDazed , you'd be surprised. The leggings aren't always nude but regardless of colour there is still VPL, and at least with bikini briefs the arse cheeks hanging out are smaller.

Yes, even with dark leggings you can usually tell if the wearer has a thong, and it's not a good look. Fortunately thongs don't seem very popular these days around here.

Bagzzz · 15/01/2023 18:26

Yes find them comfortable - didn’t know was a 90s trend. anyway no one needs to see my knickers to know I don’t follow fashion trends or look stylish.

Hollyhocksandtulips · 15/01/2023 19:01

Those who can wear a thong, how do you do it? Does it settle into your bum crack and stay there?

Hollyhocksandtulips · 15/01/2023 19:05

God I sound like a pervert. Sorry. Just could never get on with knowing how they were supposed to work.

CantPreventSpring · 15/01/2023 19:27

I usually wear black cotton bikini briefs but this thread has made me consider trying high leg

doodleygirl · 15/01/2023 19:33

I wear a bit of everything, things, high leg, shorts and big ones. I like variety

inappropriateraspberry · 15/01/2023 19:45

Yes, have recently realised they are the best fit for my shape. Shorts styles cut in around the top of my legs, size up and they are too big everywhere else! Bikini styles are too small/low.
The high leg cut doesn't go up my bum all the time, doesn't dig in and can be adjusted to sit slightly higher or lower depending on clothes.

BeachesDiary · 15/01/2023 19:49

I only wear high leg, they're the most comfortable fit for me.

ShakeYourFeathers · 15/01/2023 19:52

I find them the best for when it's my time of the month and towel wings fit around them nice and securely

Nitgel · 15/01/2023 19:55

I wear chantelle one size , the best ever

Nitgel · 15/01/2023 19:57

Sorry getting hi leg and hi waist mixed 😅

Merple · 15/01/2023 19:59

Yes I like high leg. Shorts just fall down on me and things are too uncomfortable.

Emmamoo89 · 15/01/2023 20:02

I wear thongs and frenchies

Crabwoman · 15/01/2023 20:09

Yes, worn them for years. I recently bought some super, super high waisted, high leg ones and I am never going back.

I have a high waist with a long arse (only way I describe it) and low/mid rise cuts me in half.
