Can anyone recommend simple black trainers for walking/casual?

Been looking for ages - I'd a pair fully-black or as black as possible, non-chunky, low or mid-top style. But with arch support as I have ahem, difficult feet!

Not brand/fussy but they seem to all be super chunky with built-up heels these days, which I guess is the fashion? It just doesn't suit me!

Try Mandmdirect
or TKMaxx

I searched for all black trainers women and there were more results

When I asked this recently everyone suggested Sketchers.

No idea if they're any good though as I never bought any in the end

Nike air max 90 in all black. So comfortable! And not too chunky!

I have these Skechers for walking/being on my feet for long periods. They're not what I'd call stylish but they are super comfortable.

SorrelForbes · 14/02/2023 19:44

I always recommend Adidas 80s Continental. So comfortable and they do they a few black options.

Reebok classics.

I love Reebok classics. I started wearing them about 15 years ago. I have gone through a lot of pairs in that time. My current pair are the oil/slip resistant sole ones. The leather uppers are so comfortable and don't make my feet sweat.

lochmaree · 14/02/2023 20:11

I love my Freet Feldoms. they are barefoot shoes though so doesn't have arch support. however they are very comfortable!

Gazelles are lovely but they are super flat. I couldn’t go for a really long walk in them.

Netcam · 15/02/2023 18:51

I suffered from plantar fasciitis and really struggle with finding comfortable shoes. I have tried loads of different trainers. The only ones I have found that worked for me are Hoka Challenger ATR goretex, they have rocker soles so are great for arch support and I use them for walking/hiking. The version 6 are in the sale and they have black with a little red (I have these ones). The new version 7 have an all black style.

Bugeyedowl · 16/02/2023 01:09

@Netcam thanks, I've never heard of Hoka before!
