Breast lift - how to choose a surgeon based on real self

Tara2000 · 19/12/2022 23:54

Hello,
This is my previous thread on the matter of breast lift.
www.mumsnet.com/talk/style_and_beauty/4639679-breast-lift-surgeon-in-london

I do not know anyone I could ask for the recommendation of a surgeon in London for a breast lift procedure.
I was advised to look on the real self and I did. There are so many surgeons in London, that it is hard to differentiate between them. If you used real self, how did you choose who you wanted to see for the consultation?
Also, did you only look at the verified profiles?
And the last question - do you have any idea about the process? I was looking before lockdown but was undecided. Now I expect the prices to be much higher.
Any little piece of advice is welcome :)

I’d recommend Amir Nakhdjevani at Bella Vou in Tunbridge Wells, great surgeon and excellent all round treatment at the clinic. A friend used Adrian Richards at The Private Clinic in London for a reduction, so similar surgery, and really rated him.

I only used Realself to check reviews and pics after having narrowed things down though.

Tara2000 · 20/12/2022 14:16

Thank you both. @cathyandclare but how do you narrow things down? what sources did you use to shortlist surgeons?
I do not know anyone who admitted to have the op. done so cannot ask for personal recommendations. I have looked online on different web sites, but obviously there are only positive reviews.

I'm a qualified doctor ( not practising) and had done some work with the clinic so had seen their results. My friend in London asked around, googled and then checked on RealSelf.

Try not You

I haven't had a lift but I had my tummy tuck and breast augmentation with Amir N, who was mentioned upthread. He was amazing and I would highly recommend him. I chose him for his TT credentials as that was the more involved operation for me. I made a long list and then narrowed it down according to before/afters and reviews. Then I had consultations with three surgeons before deciding.

There are some good uk cosmetic surgery groups on Facebook where you will get lots of info and see before/afters.

This is very helpful, thank you. Yes, it would be great to ask someone, I will need to rely on the online search.

@MintyPrincess what do you mean by "Try not you"

I’m not in your area but it was the best think I’ve ever done!

Tara2000 · 20/12/2022 14:52

@schmalex what are TTReviews? Thanks for all the opinions and names. I could go to Tunbridge Wells, but is it possible to commute back to London on the same day? That is a worry, and this is why I am more keen on London.

I meant try researching but I wrote you researching

Tara2000 · 20/12/2022 15:16

@MintyPrincess , sorry. It is so silly of me. How I didn't get it?

Yes it's not too bad, to be honest I travelled from Yorkshire and that was manageable!
It's an overnight stay following uplift surgery usually.

Sorry! TT = tummy tuck.

I'm sure there are lots of great surgeons in London - I've heard good things about Dan Marsh.
