Jones Road Miracle Balm - anyone tried it?

It looks fab but I can't decide which colour to try. Has anyone tried it? Is it as good as I want it to be?

I am fairly pale but warm-toned with green eyes and dark balayaged hair.

Jumping on this thread as I am desperate to try this too- it looks amazing. I'm tempted by the colourless one, hoping it makes me look all dewy and fresh faced!

Delatron · 12/12/2022 21:00

I was eyeing this up in Liberty’s. Then I watched the tutorial and want it even more! Can’t decide on the shade though. I think I want 2!!

yoyy · 12/12/2022 21:00

i've been eyeing it up but not trued yet

Charlieiscool · 12/12/2022 21:04

DON’T buy it - use Vaseline or something instead. All it does is grease you up a bit and there’s really no discernible difference between the different colours. £49 I think it was and I chucked it in the bin. Absolute shite waste of money. Treat yourself to something else.

IfYouDontAsk · 12/12/2022 21:12

Sorry, not what you asked but God I hate the way they really dig their fingers into the pot to get the product out in the adverts 😵‍💫

WonkyFeelings · 12/12/2022 21:13

I tried it at Liberty and I couldn’t get over the smell. It stinks and it’s greasy AF. Not for me.

SequinShagger · 12/12/2022 21:17

Reviews all bad sadly

GerbilsForever24 · 12/12/2022 21:17

I tried a few at Liberty. I am going to get the Dusty Rose I think and also the foundation.

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 12/12/2022 21:19

Friend bought it, said was like Vaseline… tried to give it to me! I did poke it, was very greasy. The ads made it look great (the tanned grey haired lady?) but think it’s just because the model is beautiful. Strange as isn’t it Bobby Brown and she used to make very good stuff?

princessbear80 · 12/12/2022 22:24

I was being bombarded by ads on Instagram, and nearly fell for it. Then checked reviews and they’re all terrible! Blocked the adverts now.

Delatron · 12/12/2022 22:50

This is a useful thread then!

CraigDavid · 12/12/2022 22:53

It's greasy and my hair ended up stuck in it. I didn't see the point of it. Totally pointless product. Didn't buy one thank goodness but I used a friend's.

Mouthfulofquiz · 12/12/2022 23:04

I actually really liked it. The texture is lovely, and the colour is subtle (I have freckly skin and dark hair)
I didn’t notice a smell. Will probably buy a bronzer toned one in summer. I can’t abide powder blushes / bronzers. They look so old fashioned!

SirVixofVixHall · 12/12/2022 23:17

I use it and like it. I am very pale, with neutral undertones, light brown hair, green eyes. I have five different colours , some suit me better than others. The darkest colour (Tawny I think) looks a bit too brown on me . I have dryish, sensitive skin and I am in my fifties . I find it adds moisture and glow. It is a bit sticky, yes. It is thick and greasy but sinks in more than something like Vaseline would. I have probably used the pink (Flushed) and the gold (golden hour) most. The gold less now that it is mid Winter, now I’m using Magic Hour or Dusty Rose more . I dab it on where I need a bit of colour, or shimmer, and where my cheeks are dry. I like the thickness of it as it makes my skin feel comfortable and protected.
I think it might be a bit much on an oilier skin maybe ? Hard for me to judge though. It just makes me look a bit more alive, but it is shiny.

dontgobaconmyheart · 12/12/2022 23:43

I don't own it, but have tried a friends. As I think I said a bit more politely on another thread - it was shite. Honestly just felt like a tinted vaseline with next to no colour payoff and even if there was it felt horrid.

If you're one of those that's already blessed with gorgeous skin that needs nothing on it then I could see potential for it but in those circumstances a bit of vaseline as 'highlight' would probably also work.

SequinShagger · 13/12/2022 02:47

If you like a cream blush try Milk brand roller ball

Fraaahnces · 13/12/2022 05:03

I was so excited about this, and the woman at the store wouldn’t let me buy it without trying it first - thank god! It’s bloody dreadful. If you can imagine the thickest tinted sunscreen mixed with Nivea cream, that’s what it’s like. Blech!!!! Also sticks to every one of those baby fluff hairs on your face. Looks appalling.

Charlieiscool · 13/12/2022 10:25

I bought some other products in the range that were ok but this balm was so revolting it has put me off using the entire Jones Road brand. I’ve wasted a fortune on disappointing beauty products over the years but this waxy, sticky, gloopy, colourless shite really wind the prize for the worst purchase ever. If you just want a sticky and shiny face use Vaseline and save your money.

Lookingoutside · 13/12/2022 13:27

I love mine. I have dusky rose and tawny.

Tawny works well as a bronzer, so hairline, under cheek bones, on eyelids etc and dusky rose for Cupid’s bow and cheeks.

I have to ask. Are some of you posting on here from that dragging site? 🤭😂

WalkingOnSonshine · 13/12/2022 13:51

I sold mine.

I don’t have sensitive skin at all, but seemed to react really badly to it, itchy skin/hives etc.

It smelt quite chemically to me.

Charlieiscool · 13/12/2022 14:27

Lookingoutside dragging site? What’s that? I’m posting to save people from sending money to Bobbi Brown for rubbish when generally speaking, she needs our money less than we do

theemmadilemma · 13/12/2022 14:36

Oh I was nearly roped in by this. The dewy look was appealing.

Won't bother now.

I have no idea what you mean about "that dragging site".

As I've said in previous threads Jones Road is underwhelming, cheap packaging and a copy of Glossier. The only difference Glossier is better.

Lookingoutside · 13/12/2022 15:41

Ok. Thanks both 😉

Why are you so bothered? It's an underwhelming product you disagree. It's not a big deal. Not sure what all the twee emojis are about
