M&S 12 days of Sparks - it's back!

Can't see a thread, please correct me if I'm wrong.

M&S has brought back its 12 days of Sparks offers. It was notoriously bad last year, but day 1 and I have a free hand cream to pick up in store. Not sure if I'll get the chance, but seems a stronger start than last year at least.

I missed a couple of days . Clearly I didn’t miss anything!?

Eaumyword · 10/12/2022 08:03

20% off bath and body. Which would have been helpful 2 days ago when I bought a load of stuff for Christmas full price 🙄
Still nothing free except percy pig bauble. Running out of time for something fab now!

Zeeza · 10/12/2022 08:04

The 20pc off skincare includes all their beauty. I think it's a really good deal. If I hadn't been a piggy wiggy over advent calendars i would be using it. The provenance range is amazing.

OneFrenchEgg · 10/12/2022 08:16

20% off skincare

Went in yesterday and the person restocking said they hadn't had any of my free stocking lights since Tuesday. Didn't offer an alternative.

Got some food and went to pay, thought I d ask again - told no they couldn't swap it, but they'd ask a colleague - No couldn't swap it. Showed them the app and they were just oh ok didn't know - no offer to get one, I was midway through scanning stuff and couldn't be arsed to walk back across the shop to the home section (through food and clothes). Nothing at the tills so I just left it.

Lookingformymarbles · 10/12/2022 08:45

This is the best offer yet for me although like a pp I've a fab beauty advent calendar so don't really need anything-will stock up on a couple items for use next year I think

ChessieFL · 10/12/2022 08:46

20% off skincare here too

euff · 10/12/2022 08:52

ThatsGoingToHurt · 10/12/2022 08:55

20% off skincare today. Only two days left and one of them is going to be a competition entry. Rapidly losing hope of getting anything decent.

Dropzonefourpleaseben · 10/12/2022 08:59

First day I ‘won’ a box of shortbread. A couple of days later, 15% off wine. Went to the store yesterday and found they didn’t have the shortbread in stock. Bought a couple of bottles of wine and when I got home, discovered that the discount hadn’t been applied, even though I scanned my Sparks card! I won’t be bothering again.

HeatwaveToNightshade · 10/12/2022 09:18

What is irritating me is the fact that percentage off isn't enough to persuade me to buy anything. They are the same discounts offered regularly during the rest of the year. 30% or 40% off would be a decent Christmas 'treat' I reckon.

ofmybloodyself · 10/12/2022 09:27

Yeah, and I even had the disloyal cheek to forget about it all for about 3 days so I missed the chance to unlock whatever pathetic offer was on the 5th. My punishment is that I won't get the special extra for the good girls and boys who devoted themselves to the full 12 days of disappointment 😂

Cookerhood · 10/12/2022 09:29

20% off skincare here too. Absolute rubbish! I bet I forget tomorrow & then the bonus will be something worth having.

OneFrenchEgg · 10/12/2022 11:08

Discounts off skincare are only good if you don't have a brand you stick to, or M and S sell the brand you use.

Zeeza · 10/12/2022 13:19

Isn't that the same for every product? A discount isn't any good unless you want the product?

sentientpuddle · 10/12/2022 13:24

Day 10 - same, 20% off skincare

OneFrenchEgg · 10/12/2022 13:36

Sort of? But I'm less loyal to crisps and plants than I am to Clarins.

ChessieFL · 10/12/2022 14:17

Well, my offers so far have saved me the grand total of £1.60. Still no stock today of the shortbread so wasn’t able to claim my free biscuits. Most of the other offers weren’t any use to me but I did save £1 off a shortbread lantern and 15% off two boxes of mince pies. Better than nothing obviously but not great. They should have made sure they had plenty of stock of things they were giving out as freebies.

ofmybloodyself · 10/12/2022 17:16

@OneFrenchEgg 😂

hoochyhag · 10/12/2022 17:20

Yep skincare for me too.
This kind of thing is why I abandoned the sparks card for ages 🤷🏻‍♀️

IconicKitty · 10/12/2022 20:01

I have been in 3 different stores to try and claim the hand cream (or one of the subs). None of the items were in stock.

red4321 · 10/12/2022 20:05

I'm currently eating my free Percy Pigs, but the other offers have been rubbish.

ThinkingOfAWittyUsername · 11/12/2022 00:12

Day 11. 15% off skincare for me today.

One day left to get a free bottle of gin!

Undertheoldlindentree · 11/12/2022 00:32

This is rubbish. Not a single free item and day after day of measly, miserly miniscule discounts. Has put me right off M&S.

SocksAndTheCity · 11/12/2022 01:14

Well today I have 20% off 'light up' candles. I'm not sure what other types of candles there are?

HeatwaveToNightshade · 11/12/2022 01:36

20% off kids' underwear. One more day of tedium and we are released from the spell. Yay!

Mind you, DS2 could be doing with a couple of new pairs of undercrackers. Might have a look.
