It could be a top, or a jumper. Don't want to spend much BUT if it was wearable for multiple years would consider.

Would wear with jeans. Am size 12 standard short arse. Any ideas?

Just buy a lovely Fair isle jumper. They look festive, without being actually Christmas-y. There was a thread about them recently. They'll also be relatively fashionable forever.

Ragwort · 29/11/2022 21:15

Check out your local charity shops, I found a very tasteful White Stuff Christmas jumper for £6 last week.

UnderPowered · 29/11/2022 21:15

I meant to say - they're in lots of shops at the moment. Seasalt have some nice ones.

chikp · 29/11/2022 21:16

Next have a plain one with a star

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 29/11/2022 21:17

Wear what you have! Pin tinsel on. Maybe a string of tiny battery lights. Pin some dangly decors on too.

Lcb123 · 29/11/2022 21:18

Another vote for a Fairisle pattern jumper - lovely ones in Seasalt, white stuff, M&S. more classic and wearable through the winter rather than just Christmas. Check Vinted there’s loads there!

We need to know what would constitute heinous in your eyes.

bruffin · 29/11/2022 21:20

There are some lovely jumpers in Uniqlo

This is a fair question. So maybe really ugly rudolf with glitter nose or twee wine glass with glitter or anything grinch or cartoon based.

I don't know what i want, I did search for threads in this so if there's been another please point me there.

Jumper day is next Thursday 8th. So not long to find something...

I like idea of adding tinsel or charity shop, for cheapness. However also want to look glows and festive in something - at this point am in a Swiss chalet in my head not in a teams meeting...

Nearly every charity shop has a rail of Christmas jumpers

holierthanthou73 · 29/11/2022 21:41

just repeating what others have said, charity shop and donate it back in January

FortyFacedFuckers · 29/11/2022 21:42

AdoraBell · 29/11/2022 21:45

I’d go for a Fairisle jumper too.

astronewt · 29/11/2022 21:45

I have this one.

Look.for a Christmas tunic. U can wear as a dress with tights. This year I.bought a t shirt from.Sainsbury's. Inoffensive. Doesn't light up,it just dull lighting in here. 8 quid- bargain. Cap sleeves so cardigan.or long sleeved top underneath to.hide my.bingo wings.🤭

I got this one which I think does as an Xmas jumper but could be worn for other winter occasions. I've already worn it a few times.
Nicer in real life.

I’d wear a red , or green or maybe cream ( winter white ) plain jumper or cardi Add a tinsel necklace , brooch and earrings

ScottBakula · 29/11/2022 21:49

I did this a few years ago for a family Xmas, I used Christmas earrings, ribbon.
A jumper you already have will be fine

BadlydoneHelen · 29/11/2022 21:51

something like this from Peacocks?

MarmiteCoriander · 29/11/2022 21:53

I too was going to say fairisle or just any jumper you currently have and dress it up to be festive. You don't necessarily need a jumper that you ONLY wear at Christmas.

If its a woollen/knitted type, then hook on tiny baubles to decorate it for the day or add some just around the neck line. (Don't add a large bauble over each boob though! 😂) I have a necklace which looks like a tiny string of Christmas lights which gets compliments every year. I think it was from poundland or B&M years ago!

Or add a Christmas brooch (flashing or plain) and wrap tinsel around the brooch to jazz it up.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 29/11/2022 21:53

Sainsburys have a few that look quite nice this year.

BCBird · 29/11/2022 22:02

Would this be classed as heinous?🤭
