What perfume is everyone wearing now?

DH is buying me some perfume for Christmas, I’ve not bought perfume for over 3 years 😂 so I have no idea what’s in or even what’s out there. Any recommendations?

Marc Jacobs daisy dream. But I’m very sensitive to smells and lots of perfumes/aftershave give me a terrible headache. This is one of the few I can wear.

Frederic Malle - Lipstick Rose whenever I leave the house. It’s a bit unseasonal, but I haven’t yet found an everyday replacement for Serge Lutens’ Jeux de Peau - which was my constant Autumn / Winter companion for years. It’s always the things I love that are discontinued …

Like Vero Profumo Onda, which I’m hoarding and only wear for particular ‘out out’ occasions.

im not sure it’s helpful anyone saying what they like because it’s such an individual thing. For what it’s worth I’m wearing Givenchy L’Interdit Millesime, which I’m completely in love with.

What perfumes have you chosen for yourself in the past?

I like fruity slightly sweet type of tones and recently found Hugo Boss Alive which is vanilla-y but not overly sweet... it's really nice!

Light Blue by D&G if you like citrusy light fresh fragrances. I only ever wear this or my going out evening scent, Etro Etra Etro (the nearest to Le Feu d'Issy Miyake I could find since they discontinued it - how dare they!)

I'm trying to find a replacement for Calyx which is disconnected. Bloody Estée Lauder as a company have gone to pot

I don’t think calyx is discontinued.

I think everyone is wearing Baccarat Rouge or dupes of it, to be honest.

I bet if you asked in a large department store, that would be one of their big sellers.

And the Kayali Vanilla 28 is permanently sold out (does that mean Everton's wearing it, or no-one is? That's a conundrum ...).

I also have Coco Mademoiselle, Chance au Tendre, Mon Guerlain and Gardenia on the go, plus a new purchase of Melrose Place by Ouai after I got a tester of it from Space NK which I'll open when something else runs out 😊
