What perfume is everyone wearing now?

DH is buying me some perfume for Christmas, I’ve not bought perfume for over 3 years 😂 so I have no idea what’s in or even what’s out there. Any recommendations?

I think you should get a few testers and see what you like and suit.

There is nothing worse than being gifted a bottle of something expensive that you cannot wear.

I was given a bottle of Lady Million by my ex. It is just so not me and I really dislike it, and when it first came out it wasn't cheap. What I actually wanted was Chanel Allure but he said he got this instead as the Allure was more expensive.....

So if someone is buying for you, I really suggest finding something you like first and tell them what to buy. I know it's not a suprise and all that though.

Anything discontinued by the main manufacturer will still be available somewhere online!
I've just bought a perfume I loved in the late 80s but could never afford so I treated myself to a bottle all these years later.
Unfortunately it's very dated (hardly surprising I know...) & SO strong.

My two favourites are Quercus by Penhaligon and Verveine by L’Occitane.
I favour fresh and citrus notes.

Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone is nice. But I’ve just returned to La Belle en Vie by Lancôme as it’s beautiful.

I’m currently obsessed with Chanel 19.

I reckon it's either Loulou by Cacharel or Poison by Dior. I loved them both so much I could empty a lift in seconds 😀

Like a PP, Idole by Lancome is one of my current favourites, along with Elie Saab's Eau de Parfum (I think it's just called that!).

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever tends to be my go to. My wedding scent was Marc Jacobs Twinkle which I adore(!!) but it was/is limited addition and not sure if they still make it, so that only comes out on special occasions.

I still love Flowerbomb.

It's called Diva by Emmanuel Ungaro & I literally can't escape from it if I put even the smallest amount on! I shouldn't have bought it but couldn't resist a try as I hadn't seen it in decades.

I LOVED Lulu & Poison back in the day as well. And you could always tell if anyone was wearing Georgio Beverly Hills anywhere!

I'm wearing Scandal a Paris today, I love it. Also l'interdit. Re the maison kurdjan 540 that everyone loves but is really expensive, cloud by ariana grande is good but also red temptation by zara is worth checking out!

I’ve just bought olympea by paco rabanne and before that la vie est belle by Lancôme. I just bought the 30ml in case they turned out not to be as nice as I thought

Jo Malone, Peony and Blush Suede is a real favourite of mine however I have just bought super cheap bottle of Marks and Spencer perfume as an everyday fragrance and it’s lovely! It’s part of their Apothecary range and it’s called Ease and is only 9.50 a bottle. Really recommend a spritz.
