Hi,
I can't seem to find the perfect blusher. Everything I try just doesn't seem to work anymore! TIA.

I use Glossier Cloud Paint. It’s really lightweight and builds nicely if you want a bit more colour. Stila duo lip/cheek is great too, I used that for years.

Dogsgottabone · 02/11/2022 12:35

Second Stila. I buy it from Marks and Spencer.

thedevilinablackdress · 02/11/2022 12:42

What is it that doesn't work? Colour? Formula? What is your colouring?

Yoyoyo1 · 02/11/2022 12:43

I have pale skin (but not in an interesting way)! The ones i try leave now colour or an artificial colour. I just want one to warm up my skin that lasts.

I use a powder blusher and a brush. I like Mac. The colour is not brash at all and looks natural.

I always use the guide from my own face for blusher. Go for a brisk walk or do some heavy gardening outside. Come in and look to see where your cheeks are pink and apply blusher to those places.

LateNightTalking · 02/11/2022 12:48

Bobbi Brown cream blush - I use "fresh melon". It's very subtle.

Smallinthesmoke · 02/11/2022 12:56

Another vote for Glossier Cloud Paint. It's very buildable and a tube lasts forever.

beachcitygirl · 02/11/2022 12:57

I use charlotte tilbury pillow talk powder blush

thedevilinablackdress · 02/11/2022 13:00

I am a similar age and recently changed where I apply blusher. I think I saw it on one of those MUA videos for over 40s or somesuch.
I used to apply roughly to apples of cheeks, but now it's sort of further back and a bit higher up. Right up to temple area.
I really like how that looks.

motleymop · 02/11/2022 13:01

Glossier cloud paint here too! It breathes life into my exhausted face!

TheTeenageYears · 02/11/2022 13:02

Trinny

Shelaydownunderthetable · 02/11/2022 13:07

Another vote for Cloud paint

HanSB · 02/11/2022 13:20

Look at Hourglass, all their powder face products are brightening and make you look more awake

Purpleavocado · 02/11/2022 13:29

The Hourglass ones are lovely, and I like the Trinny for a quick swipe of colour. Cheapie Makeup Revolution pallets are nice.

Agree this is gorgeous for pale complexions. As is Powder Pink by BB.

Powder Pink on me is more of a natural flush, and I wear Fresh Melon in summer for a more vibrant but still natural colour. I’m pale, blue eyes, dark hair freckled!

WhereAreWeNow · 02/11/2022 18:02

I like cloud paint too. I wear Storm and Eve. Storm is favourite though. You only need a tiny bit and it works well on lips too.
Barry M do a great dupe.

readwritelove · 02/11/2022 18:04

Charlotte Tilbury - Ecstasy. A gorgeous peach. I wear it nearly every day.

Same. It is very pink but you only need the merest smidge.

pippabg · 02/11/2022 18:05

Yes to glossier cloud paint! The cream blushes make the skin look a lot more hydrated!

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 02/11/2022 18:22

Another Stila fan here. Pale skin and freckles. I use Peony. Try in M& S.

Yoyoyo1 · 02/11/2022 19:35

Thank you everyone - off to search!

Colour-wise, it is important to know if you have cool or warm undertones.
If you wear the right colour, it will really lift your face.

I suit "Summer" colours, i.e. cool colours, and look totally awful in peach or bronzer.

Having your "colours done" will help massively.

SpookySally · 02/11/2022 21:57

Pale vote for cloud paint. Dusk in summer and Storm in winter (or I mix them). I am pretty pale, cool/neutral toned with brown hair.
