I have been lurking on this thread for weeks and finally succumbed to ordering the JL AC yesterday. I’m very excited, I’ve not had a beauty advent calendar before. Decided it was time to treat myself after a rough few months and I’m finally getting back into my skincare and makeup again.

Housewife2010 · 23/11/2022 21:01

@Boppertini I'm a "beauty pro" at Latest in Beauty but I'm finally going to cancel after December. The quality and choice of their subscription items has been very poor this year. I've stayed with the subscription to get 15% off their boxes which can be very good. However, it's getting harder to choose subscription items every month. I have a backlog of acne products for my son because there have been so few tempting items.

AnnieSnap · 23/11/2022 21:18

I don’t deserve anymore ACs (I have M&S and NUXE). I feel quite self indulgent and guilty. I have too many clothes already, but with all of the price reductions, over the last 24 hours, I have bought a dress, pair of pants, blouse and jumper from Boden, some fab clumpy boots from Clarks that were reduced 30% to £91 and £55 on two pairs of knee high alpaca socks (I suffer from horribly cold feet). I didn’t need any of this. I just really wanted them. This feels like a safe place to confess. 😳 Tell me I’m not a terrible person.

Zeeza · 23/11/2022 21:20

@AnnieSnap you're keeping the economy going in difficult times. You're a Saint.

I am idly eyeing up the Diptyque calendar to see if they discount it in December. But I’m yet to make an internal agreement on how much of a discount (from £370) makes the cost remotely justifiable.

PomRuns · 23/11/2022 21:33

oh gosh, I will waver if Liberty is discounted. Already have JL.
Also kept Neom afloat buying a diffuser and 2 big boxes of goodies.

Wondering if Mulberry do Black Friday offers, I don't think they have previously.

Giftwithpurchase · 23/11/2022 21:50

Sounds a fabulous haul @AnnieSnap ...
I'm also verging on a clothes binge - Black Friday is just too tempting!

Giftwithpurchase · 23/11/2022 21:50

@EmmatheStageRat you have also sold the Lakeland blanket to me 😂

Housewife2010 · 23/11/2022 21:52

Anyone bought from tiktok? Some beauty advents reduced on there.

Haha! You will NOT regret it; my DD(6) is correct, it’s like living on a warm cloud. I meant to post on a thread about heated throws (I’m rock n’ roll, me) but I somehow got muddled up. Anyway, I’m doing my best not to be a shill for Putin by keeping my heating off as long as I/we can possibly stand, living here in the Frozen North.

PomRuns · 23/11/2022 22:21

Sorry stupid question - do you have to sign up to get the LiB AC? Or can anyone order?

Do it, then come back and tell us what you bought 😃

Thank you @Zeeza 😌😇

Oops @PomRuns I didn’t mean to quote your post. It was @Giftwithpurchase who was (enabling) talking of clothes shopping 😳

I’m seriously coveting that blanket!

I would love to know your verdict on the Nuxe calendar as I love Nuxe. Also where did you get the socks? I also have the cold feet problem. No, you’re not a terrible person. Sounds like the clothes will last you years at a good price. The advent calendars are just too tempting when they’re reduced!

You can order anything from Collections, including AC, without a LiB subscription.
The £60 0ff AC starts tomorrow 24th. Just over an hour away.

Housewife2010 · 23/11/2022 23:20

The LIB AC is £114 posted in the tiktok shop.

We’ll have to have a NUXE AC thread. Have you noticed it’s available for £65 now in various places? I only know how lovely their stuff is because there was some in last year’s M&S AC!

This is where my socks are from. They are expensive, but really well made lovely and warm. Their lambs wool bed socks are much warmer and nicer than my cashmere ones from The White Company or M&S! Their mohair ones are not thick at all, but they hold the heat and keep us warm. This order is my first for alpaca socks. They are said to be softer than wool and very warm. They are a small business and are not doing Black Friday reductions, but sent me a code for 20% discount as an existing customer. You could try it. It’s COLOURFULFRIDAY Let me know if you get some.

I think you forgot to include the link?

I discovered Nuxe in France. I had left my moisturiser at home so had to buy some in the chemist. Loved it so much I bought quite a few different products in the range.

You convinced me! I'm trying to shop small more this Christmas and these look lovely.
