Things you don’t wear with a big bust

Madagascary · 13/10/2022 09:27

I’ve just booked to have a reduction in 40 days time, not that I’m counting, and I’ve just realised all the millions of things I’ll be able to wear from there on in.

Sweatshirts with slogans across the tits, normal men’s style shirts that are close fitting on the chest, anything with detail on the bust. Tank tops in the summer. Supermarket bikinis.

it’s strange how you subconsciously don’t choose stuff because of the bust issue

Strapless tops as they won't stay up
Ruffles as you look ten times bigger chested
Smaller bikini as there's not as much to hold up and you can get your tan going

AuntieMarys · 13/10/2022 09:46

Polo necks
Shirts with pocket detail
Round neck tops

Heavenknows22 · 13/10/2022 09:47

A tight top tucked in.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 13/10/2022 10:05

Strappy or strapless tops, pretty dainty bra sets, skimpy bikinis, button up shirts, polo necks, crew necks, double breasted blazers/coats.

Coats that fasten over my tits without being massive everywhere else.

Off the shoulder tops or low back dresses without bra straps showing.

A body protector when riding a horse (actually I have now found one that fits at great expense but I can't fasten the bastard when I am alone as I can't see past my tits).

ZimZamZoom · 13/10/2022 10:09

chunky knit jumpers

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/10/2022 10:13

dungarees.

whenwillthemadnessend · 13/10/2022 10:15

Oooh good luck. I'm having mine in Feb. Please come back and let us know how it goes. 💐

AnApparitionQuipped · 13/10/2022 10:19

Floaty, loose-fitting dresses as they make you look like a tent.
Shawls ditto
Gypsy tops ditto (showing my age a bit there but thinking back to the late 90s!)

Dartmoorcheffy · 13/10/2022 10:20

Seat belts

Dartmoorcheffy · 13/10/2022 10:21

I actually do wear one but it's so uncomfortable.

KnickerlessParsons · 13/10/2022 10:23

Do you mind me asking where? And how much? I'd love a breast reduction even though mine aren't ginormous.

Pinkittens · 13/10/2022 10:24

Dresses with smocking across the bust.
Thin, stretchy tops.
Ribbed vest tops/polo necks.
Any kind of spaghetti strap with which a bra can't be worn.
Backless dresses/tops.
Keyhole back dresses/tops that show a back bra strap.
Bikini tops, as the stretch on cups and straps usually doesn't shape a bigger bust flatteringly, even the underwired ones.

I disagree with not being able to wear ruffles on the top, (excluding the sort that run vertically either side of the bust but plain across the actual bust, they aren't flattering). I think some ruffles and frills across the bust are great at disguising, if that's what's required.

EmmaH2022 · 13/10/2022 10:27

Everything listed plus halter necks

there's not a lot would get me to volunteer for surgery but this would

please let us know how it goes

I still remember years ago, someone saying to me "you are WAY bigger than a DD". I fucking HATE it.

gogohmm · 13/10/2022 10:29

Would love to go down a few sizes, I'm still fed up bravissimo stopped their pepperberry clothes

whenwillthemadnessend · 13/10/2022 10:30

@KnickerlessParsons

I'm having mine done in a private hospital in Hertfordshire I've meet the surgeon.

It's 7k.

3 of my family have had it (mum and 2 cousins) and said it was the best money they ever spent.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesn · 13/10/2022 10:34

Wow, where are you booked with/which surgeon? 40 days from booking is so fast! Most options I've explored have long wait lists

whenwillthemadnessend · 13/10/2022 10:39

I could have chosen to have mine quicker but it wasn't good with dh work so I've delayed to feb. I dont want it done in summer.

However I know my surgeon could
Have slotted me in if I wanted.

Marellatea · 13/10/2022 12:29

Also agree on halter neck tops and smocking. Anything skinny rib I feel too self-conscious).

Good luck OP! I’d love to have smaller (perter!) boobs but too scared.

WhoppingBigBackside · 13/10/2022 12:51

Horizontal stripes
Most hoodies
Boxy sweatshirts
Logos across the front
Tight t-shirts
Polo necks
Short sleeves that reach almost to the bust, or cap sleeves
Rib jumpers
Detail that attracts attention to the bust

WhoppingBigBackside · 13/10/2022 13:57

I still remember years ago, someone saying to me "you are WAY bigger than a DD". I fucking HATE it.

I can remember someone i was dating telling me "I can tell you're a 36D' I was a 32DD.
Young lads would make cupped hands and catcall.
A so-called friend saying that what I was wearing made me look like a 38F, when I was out.
Someone telling me I was busty like her (might have been true)
I felt like I was a freak.

I lost weight and am a 32C

Madagascary · 13/10/2022 14:51

Basic one with no extra liposuction or anything about 7 1/2 thousand

Great news on the weight loss, sadly menopause has not been kind to me. So although I could cope with being a double date this is just ridiculous and a size 12 body.

Happened to ring up suggesting one date and they told me they had a cancellation for the next date. So that’s great
