What product do you use for intimate wash?

Do you use a specific separate item for intimate washing, or just whatever shower gel or soap you use for the rest of your body?

I occasionally but the fem fresh bottle when on offer but wasn't sure if it's considered any good or if there are any better alternatives?

I really would think twice about commenting on this thread

Especially given the OP's username...

More than once while reading this thread my brain autocorrected 'self cleaning' to 'self catering' 😂

But yes I agree - absolutely no need for any kind of feminine wash

ClaudineClare · 07/10/2022 11:21

There may well be some "self catering" going on here...😁

Choconut · 07/10/2022 11:22

'Intimate wash' gives me the ick.

'Intimate wash' gives me the ick.

This thread gives me the ick due to the possible motivation of the individual who started it

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 07/10/2022 11:24

Also don't direct the shower into there. That's just as bad

I use plain soap on my bum but nothing on my vadge, and I certainly don’t go up and in with anything other than water. That’s a one way road to an itchy doot, my friend. It’s self cleaning, you don’t need any products.

@TheCraicDealer truly you are a poet 👌

Indeed

Over a year ago I picked up a load of canesten feminine wash/mousse for 80p (meant to be 8.99) it was in clearance.
it's back to £8.99 everywhere now tho, whilst my stash is still going strong!
I don't wash the inside tho.

ClaudineClare · 07/10/2022 11:31

I find swarfega works well OP.

inheritanceshiteagain · 07/10/2022 11:31

Johnson's baby bath. Just one drop is sufficient. It's ridiculous to say just water because sweat builds up around the top of the legs and inner area and it smells. Been doing it for years and no issues. Being sexually active also is pretty smelly.

toastedcat · 07/10/2022 11:31

Sincerely hope the people who think their vag is self cleaning know that you still need to clean around the outside (yes, I know that's the vulva).

And why does everyone think femfresh is so evil? It's unscented, PH balanced wash which means you can clean your vulva without messing up the PH.

Please, don't avoid washing your bits because you think you'll get an infection. This is only if you rub soap up inside yourself.

And a brillo pad

perenniallymessy · 07/10/2022 11:32

I use femfresh five times a day and douche with zoflora because if my Fanny smells of anything other than flowers I have failed at being a woman.

Obviously not being serious, steer well clear of that crap and use plain, unscented soap and water (or Epaderm cream if you are super sensitive).

inheritanceshiteagain · 07/10/2022 11:32

The mucous membrane I wouldn't especially wash with soap though.

I am not sure OP actually has a fanny (maybe in their dreams)

MaMisled · 07/10/2022 11:35

I needed surgery in my nether regions (ouch!) and all the gynae-oncology professionals advised using aqueous cream to wash with.

perenniallymessy · 07/10/2022 11:36

@Hoppinggreen well in the US your Fanny is your arse...

Draughtycatflapreturns · 07/10/2022 11:36

Drain cleaner and one of those high pressure jet wash guns.

Regularsizedrudy · 07/10/2022 11:37

A power hose.

MarshaMelrose · 07/10/2022 11:37

I use non scented gentle face wash. I don't wash inside but I, personally, couldn't get away with not washing the outside. It would be unfair on the rest of mankind!

TallulahBetty · 07/10/2022 11:39

Shower gel/soap/whatever I'm using for the rest of me, for vulva. Nothing for the actual vag, as it's self-cleaning.

True.
I remember watching Dynasty many years ago and being shocked that someone was threatened with having their Fanny smacked. Seemed a bit extreme for a mainstream soap opera

PeloFondo · 07/10/2022 11:42

This for the outside, I'm prone to thrush and BV so this helps instead of soap
