Beauty advent 22 part 2 (massive spoilers)

I don't know the etiquette of starting a runover of someone else's thread. I hope this is OK.

Reminder advent22 gives a hand-wash and handcream free gift on space nk.

I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

Argh, I want to know what's in Harrods before I go for Liberty! Surely they must be doing a reveal?

PanicAtTheBigTesco · 27/09/2022 07:29

I really need to decide whether I want Liberty not!!

@Doubleraspberry my spreadsheet already takes account of sizes which is why I'm surprised everything is coming out so evenly. I'm swaying towards Liberty as I've never had it and really want a lovely Christmassy box...

I had Feel Unique last year and really liked it, I got it on offer for £80 and would say it was definitely worth that too me.

Iirc there were some others on the main thread who had it and liked it too.

Whilst I didn't get their branded one last year I got Decleor via there last year and it was a bargain as I got a site wide discount off which was about £15 worth then as my calendar took me over x 2 brand threshold spend I got x 2 free Decleor gifts so was very happy.

Year before that I used them again for a Lumene calendar and qualified for an excellent gift with purchase on top.

Definitely worth watching out for those types of thing's

TragicMuse · 27/09/2022 07:45

Well I can't get to the Liberty payment stage. I click the button but it doesn't move on.

I've longed for this for years and never been able to afford it, do t suppose this will be my year...

wheresmyshoe · 27/09/2022 08:23

I like Liberty very much but I haven't got that must have thing going on. My loyalty voucher won't land until next month and I don't get paid until Friday. I'm going to gamble on a pre-Christmas points promo to make up for missing the £10 off (and there still being availability). Worth the juggling act for me as I'm not obsessed with it.

BurningTheToast · 27/09/2022 08:25

Went for Liberty in the end. I'm another who'd have liked to see Harrods first but I had plenty of Beauty Drop credit and there's enough in there I know I'll use and a few things like Venn and The Seated Queen that I fancy trying so I'm happy.

As someone else suggested, I went via Top Cashback and Liberty is still offering 10% for online orders and apparently it tracked, so it will be interesting to see how much of it I get as cashback. Worth a try for anyone opting for Liberty maybe?

Any luck? Mine went through ok

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 27/09/2022 08:36

TOPCASHBACK available on Liberty so well worth doing

TragicMuse · 27/09/2022 08:39

How does the top cash back work? I've logged in but I couldn't add the calendar to my basket without the link...

TragicMuse · 27/09/2022 08:41

How do you make it work I mean!

DorotheaDiamond · 27/09/2022 08:52

I used TopCashback with liberty last year and they’ve never paid up!

EasterIssland · 27/09/2022 09:35

had problems paying with credit card, used paypal at the end for liberty.

now shall i get space nk... i think i'm going to wait for this one for when there is an offer of £20 for every x (tho i guess they dont allow using it in advent calendars) or when there is double points(tho being an ndulge member not sure i would get 20 for every £100)

TragicMuse · 27/09/2022 09:48

Still can't get through the checkout!

I've tried Chrome and Safari on my phone and tried it on my computer too. It just doesn't click through to the payment options. The button goes black but then purple again.

I'm so frustrated!

Wise calendar ladies…can anyone help? Does anyone know how I can find out which calendars are available in Australia ? I bought my sister the L’Occitane one last year and she loved it. That was pretty straightforward as I used the Australian website. She’s had a tough year health wise so thought I’d send her another this year but she’s not a big makeup fan, so more bath products, maybe Molton Brown, White Company or similar. But I’m struggling to find anything I can buy in Australia for some reason (probably my poor Google skills!) thanks in advance

redredwineub40 · 27/09/2022 10:09

I still remember the year I got the space nk advent calendar on Black Friday with a GWP too! They didn't do that offer last year!!

If you're happy to wait and gamble you can get good deals although calendars are probably overall more popular than they were...

EasterIssland · 27/09/2022 10:09

@TragicMuse do you have paypal? it was my only way to be able to pay for it

I had already logged into Liberty and added it to my basket when I remembered about Top Cashback and so I went there and then went back to Liberty via the TC site. My calendar was in my basket waiting so then I just carried on as usual, added my Beauty Drop credit at the payment stage and, as far as I can tell, ta-dah. Top Cashback says they tracked my visit so it will be interesting to see how much they tracked.

Zeeza · 27/09/2022 10:20

There's a list of aussie available ones at www.who.com.au/beauty-advent-calendar-australia?category=beauty . It doesn't look like an exhaustive list. But a good start.

Even though cult has some nice makeup in it, I still think it's one of the best skincare calendars.

It is spendy, but you said you were considering white levels of price.

I used my Beauty Drop fund to order the Liberty calendar. It's why I signed up to Beauty Drop when it first started but I must admit that I didn't think this year's calendar would appeal to me (last year's one didn't!). I was wrong though as there are quite a few things in this year's one that I buy anyway (Sunday Riley eye stuff, Trish mascara, Kate Somerville exfoliator) so it's definitely a win for me.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 27/09/2022 12:26

My Liberty is on its way already!

Just need to find a way to stash it somewhere from DH. Should've had it sent to work D'oh.

SoloCat · 27/09/2022 13:26

Yes, guilty….I ordered the Liberty calendar too 😁 I had beauty drop credit, so it ended up feeling like I was not spending a huge amount.

Just waiting for Harrods reveal, although I have a feeling they might not release content until it’s on sale. I’m going to try for CB or Harrods. I did say one calendar, but the credit I had convinced me otherwise 😃

I know…my OH works from home, he gets to see all of my deliveries.
I remember stashing them behind the sofa in the past until I could get them upstairs, that was when he worked further away from the front entrance…now he’s literally next to it 😂 You can always use the old “it’s a Christmas present” excuse…yes, I’ve used that one too (a lot)

You should be able to get one, maybe it was just super busy earlier. I’ve managed to order one straight through checkout, not used PayPal. 😊

CurlyFerret · 27/09/2022 14:34

@Zeeza ah fab thanks for this link. Looks like there’s more to be released too so I’ll sign up for the update 🙂

AprilLady · 27/09/2022 14:56

I’ve also bought the Liberty calendar 😀

@User19876 Selfridges appears to be back in stock now if you still want it.

@redredwineub40 was that the year the SpaceNK GWP included a MV bracelet? I went for it too - and still wear the bracelet.

I’m feeling irrationally tempted by the Jo Loves calendar, although I usually avoid the very expensive single brand ones. It’s an unusual design, and I like the idea of trying lots of different scents in the calendar and then getting a voucher to buy a full bottle of a scent of your choice. It is stupidly expensive though …
