I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

Sunday Riley serum is in cult beauty. Not under £200 but I'm sure that the people who don't want it will be selling on eBay

Anyone tried the SR CEO Afterglow? It's in a Space NK edit at the moment which I'm um-ing and ah-ing over (it's got a Summer Fridays serum in that I need a new one of anyway - just working out if I want the extra products enough to get this set instead)

@doublecleansed I’ve used it, had it several times…I really like it, after a Vit C serum. I have dehydrated combination skin, and find it’s quite plumping and softening on my skin. I’m using it with BS Vitamin C serum at the moment…it’s a good staple I find, leaves my skin hydrated and glowing. Oh, I then use a sunscreen on top (Dennis Gross one at the mo) 😊
The box looks good, though I didn’t check sizes.

They're all full sizes in the box so it's really good value, and there's no "filler" products like sometimes - I think I'm slightly hesitant as I haven't always got on well with Vit C - the Summer Fridays serum my skin really likes though. Just don't want to get the box and find out I don't get on with the SR cream - but guessing it's lower concentration in a moisturiser anyway.

Re. Bargains from calendars on eBay. I was so annoyed at missing out on the Harrods Fragrance Calendar that I did some research on the scents, watched some reviews on YouTube...and picked up the ones that sounded the best for a fraction of the cost! It's not anywhere near as exciting, though! Would still have preferred the fun and experience of the calendar. To me, that is why I love beauty advent calendars.

Is Barbara Sturm effective? I have so much of it but never tried it as I thought it was a silly product like Avant.😯

It really is amazing. I got it in the Space NK advent last year. My skin feels like silk after using it!
The price is eye watering though

@BrokeAsABone the Barbara Sturm products are generally good - I really like the HA serum, and the lip balm is lovely. Its also sold in lots of high end shops like Harrods and Selfridges (unlike Avant). But good as the products are, they are still way overpriced, which makes them a good beauty calendar item I think.

Avant seem in contrast to be a cynical marketing exercise - put cheap products into plain packaging and hope people will think they are great because you’ve priced them stupidly high!

Thanks! I still think I prefer the Sephora BAC, even without the CEO serum. I can always buy it with my beauty drop credit.

My opinion is the reverse of yours. Dr Barbara Sturm do nothing for me. CEO serum and Luna oil are great for my skin. Medik8 too.

Not a fan of Barbara Sturm but I've had a great experience with Sunday Riley's Good Genes and UFO. The difference was visible, especially the Good Genes. I also loved her Martian toner and was gutted when it was discontinued.

I'm using Barbara Sturm HA at the moment and I love it! Also have Good genes on the go but this does nothing for me as far as I can tell.

Good Genes “prepares” your skin for the cream or serum. Results depend on what you use after GG.

Ah I didn't know that. I've been using it instead of a serum and then put moisturiser over the top. I tend to only use it at night.

I am using Luna oil mixed with The Rich Cream (I have too many of them) on top of GG and it’s a regime born out of wanting to use the Rich Cream but has been a success.

Sturm HA and the eye cream are great - skin care is so particular to what suits you. I've got GG knocking about I'll try it with UFO.

I finally decided on the one for me. I bought John Lewis...had no idea they shipped to NI as they stopped soon after Brexit , but they do! Hadn't even bothered to check the contents but last night I watched the Lady Writes video and was sold on it....checked the website and they do ship here. What a great calendar! So excited.
