Can you recommend a tinted moisturiser?

Just that really. My usual daytime look consists of mascara and eyebrow pencil (still suffering from the over-plucking craze of the early 00’s). I’ve recently tried a sample of Estée Lauder Daywear tinted moisturiser although can’t really afford the full-sized version. I like the fact it appears to adapt to my skin tone (the product is the same colour as the bottle). Can anyone recommend a good, slightly more affordable tinted moisturiser?
If it helps, I’m early thirties with an oily T-zone, Caucasian (quite pale with dark brown hair) and don’t need loads of coverage for daytime/casual wear.
thank you.

I really like this www.boots.com/no7-hydraluminous-aquarelease-skin-perfector-10288699

I’ve tried a lot but this is my favourite of the more affordable options. I use it most days.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 16/09/2022 14:45

I like the Nivea one but not tried any others

savvy7 · 16/09/2022 14:52

I like Garnier BB cream

Gr33ngr33ngr4ss · 16/09/2022 14:59

Erborian Clair
Best thing ever!

neverenoughchelseaboots · 16/09/2022 15:06

The origins one is amazing.

lindyloo57 · 16/09/2022 16:09

I was going to Eborian too.

Lizzy1980 · 16/09/2022 16:26

Dermalogica. I touch expensive but the best one I’ve tried by far

Agree.
This is head and shoulders above anything else Ive ever used.
£40 a tube though
I would sell DH before I ever give it up!

I don’t think it can be classed as a tinted moisturiser though? Far too much coverage. It’s a good product but it’s not in mosituriser territory for me, it’s a BB and I don’t like BB or CC products on my skin. Tinted moisturiser should be far, far lighter.

GreyGreyGreyEverywhere · 16/09/2022 16:42

The Origins one which is spf40 is slightly cheaper but not cheap. It's a colour adapting one and goes the perfect "healthy glow" colour on me. Smells glorious too but I know not everyone likes a scent in their face cream.

The clair has virtually no coverage other than evening out skin tone on me. Nowhere near say ITCosmetics CC coverage.

Bare minerals complexion rescue is brilliant

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 16/09/2022 17:28

Clinique city block spf50 is great for me but quite light coverage.

FredaFox · 16/09/2022 17:36

Its good to see these options, I find moisturiser too heavy on my skin and haven't worn it for years until I started using nars
It's light coverage

I just look like I have perfect skin and have slept for 10 hours ,its so amazingly light.
Not at all greasy or heavy at all unlike every other BB creams Ive tried.
There is a Super BB which gives much more coverage for acne prone skin, may be you tried that?

No it was definitely the Clair, I gave it away. The boots one I use is lovely on my skin though. The Clair felt too much like make up on my skin. But I hate make up so I am picky.
I like the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser too, that’s my spendy treat one. But obviously not what the OP is after.

Sparkletastic · 16/09/2022 18:32

Erborian is unbeatable

Clair is the colour -both come in that shade.
I do only use a teeny amount though.

Poppytime · 16/09/2022 18:59

I use Laura mercier tinted moisturiser and have for years (the standard one not oil free) I think it's great. But after reading this and elsewhere I feel I have to try the Erborian clair now! Is it a lot thicker coverage than Laura mercier? I've never worn foundation, only tinted moisturiser and don't want anything too thick/heavy.

Lndnmummy · 16/09/2022 19:02

Clinique moisture surge

minipie · 16/09/2022 19:04

Seconding the NARS. It’s not cheap but you don’t need much, plus it has SPF.

I also love the La Roche Posay tinted moisturiser but not sure it’s any cheaper. It’s lighter coverage than the NARS and has a tiny bit of sheen/pearl to it (very very slight).

The Nivea one is cheap and not bad for the price.
Garnier I found a bit orange.

Haven’t tried Erborian.

WellTidy · 16/09/2022 19:08

I’ve used the Laura Mercier one for years and really rate it. It is expensive but it’s a 50ml tube (most others are 30ml) and it lasts for ages. I’ve re-purchase time and again.

Puppalicious · 16/09/2022 19:13

I’m using Nars right now but before that I used Morphe glow stunner after reading reviews highly recommending it and it was very good, as well as being affordable.

SushiSuave · 16/09/2022 19:30

I am same age with similar skin type and have just started using the No 7 beautiful skin BB cream and am getting on really well with it, doesn't slide off my face, doesn't cake or sit in the creases I'm beginning to get and I use a blending brush to apply it evenly. Would recommend!

DewDropsonKittens · 16/09/2022 19:34

I've recently purchased the iconic skin tint, i have the same skin as you and its honestly the best thing ever
