Are bootcut jeans back in fashion?

Because I saw someone wearing them this morning, remembered how much I loved them, and really really want them to be. Especially as boot season is nearly upon us. Any thoughts?

Bootcut jeans never went out of fashion, and that is the hill I will die on 😂

Though I quite like wearing slim/straight jeans with actual boots. I like pumps with flared jeans.

We wear our DM boots or our retro addidas trainers. If suddenly hot, we wear our flip flops. As you may be able to tell I am not a style forum regular... Will slink back to AIBU...

Excellent. I will order some immediately. I’m planning to wear them with docs or converse, depending on the weather and will be grateful that for the first time in ages my ankles are not bloody freezing

Anything that is not too skinny is in fashion. It's good to have so much choice, including plenty of skinnies for those who want them

I was visualising boots made out of actual cats (claws for crampons) until I cast my mind back to the 1990s and thought, oh yes, Caterpillar boots!

Yes, the ‘slim flare’ (bootcut reborn) is everywhere.

Gap long and lean have been the best jeans I've ever ever owned. I love jeans, have many kinds but those ones just fit perfectly. Wear with big boots in the winter and espadrilles or Birkenstock in the summer

I think they must be because one of my work colleagues commented how much she liked mine (which I have obv been wearing for at least the past 5 years but I'll take the compliment).

I've still got mine. If a pair of jeans fits and looks good, I won't part with them.
I hardly see anyone wearing wide-legs, barrel, flares or bootlegs. Nearly everyone is in skinny jeans or jeggings. I'm not in a stylish area.

I love them, I always had a pair of bootcut ones but when my teenage daughter started wearing them I got a pair of navy flares. I never came to terms with skinny jeans at all.

I bought flares in January and omg I'd forgotten how comfy. Not worn skinnies since.

@Sling I love Long & Lean but I thought they'd stopped doing them. I've collected multiple pairs over 2 decades but they are threadbare now. Gutted and can't find anything quite like them.

Yes. Zara have them. That's usually a sign that they're in fashion.

@MusselMam , I've still got my long & leans. 2 pairs. I need a bit of a heel with them, so I'll see if I can be bothered.

I just bought a black pair that I'm going to wear out this weekend, black high heeled boots and a sparkly top - I'm sooooo happy

Sadly yes discontinued. Mine are old but still ok. Maybe gap will realise there is renewed demand 🤞🤞

@MusselMam , they have high rise flares, but they look a mid-blue denim, not the dark indigo I like, and there's only a sitting with legs apart photo.
Why do companies do this? I have no intention of 'manspreading', and if I'm buying a pair of jeans, I want to know what by backside will look like in them.
