weve all heard the stories about during hard times sales of lipsticks go up and I’ve been thinking about trying new lipsticks lately to cheer myself up. With energy prices sky rocketing and the latest news bout her majesty I definitely need cheering up!

So I thought I’d start a 30 days of lipstick thread. Post a pic or write the name of your lipstick to inspire others to try something new. Who’s in?

il go first. Today I wore No7 stay perfect lipstick in the colour Raspberry and it lasted all day!

Today I wore Lisa Eldridge Velvet Ribbon. A beautiful blue red.

Today I wore MAC Chilli. I had said I wouldn’t crack it open until “proper” autumn but it’s just too gorgeous! It’s the perfect deep orangey brown red which somehow makes my teeth whiter and my eyes pop. It’s matte but not drying at all and lasts around 4-5 hours which is good going on me (I tend to eat lipstick 😂)

Love this thread idea, marking place. I work outdoors so dont often wear lippy but always looking for inspiration

MAC crosswires today. It’s a perfect face brightener - great mix of pink and coral tones which I think would suit everyone.

MAC Just Add Romance lip crayon today. I only went for a run - it matched my red face!

Just a cheapo one for me today from collection. This is lasting colour in passion fruit. Only gardening but it still lasts all day :)

Does it feel moisturising? I actually don't mind reapplying lippy, would rather that than it feel dry.

Clarins Guava today. It's a warm red that's not too bright. Stays on fairly well.

NARS Red Square matte lip pencil for me (orangey red - I have warm colouring).

What colouring do you have, OP? I can’t get away with raspberry, it’s too blue toned, but could do the peachy passion fruit shade you wore.

Clinique pop mocha is a gorgeous autumn browny pink.

Also rimmel asia is a favourite mlbb for me. Again a slightly brown pink but more muted than the clinique one.

Hi is this lipstick drying? I like No7 but find their normal lipsticks and crayons don't last but I always think the stay put ones are drying. I am currently using Clinique and that seems to stay put.,

Today I wore Lisa Eldridge Painterly. Bought it a couple of months ago online and it was different to my usual colours. Really love it though. So always great to try something new

Sorry I was watching a movie with the kids. Yes it does feel moisturising not drying.

I’m quite fair but not too pale.

Today I have revlon colour rush in boom chick a boom. It’s quite balmy and I do have to reapply after lunch but not drying at all

Mac Devoted to Chilli. Not quite as bright as Chilli but still quite vibrant.

This and Brick o La are my Autumn favourites.

You need lipcote- apply any lipstick as normal and then a coat or 2 of this, let it dry on the lips (don’t rub) it’ll tingle then set and it’ll last all day- pretty much until you scrub it off. Amazing stuff. c.£5 from boots.

I love a lipstick 💄 OP! I usually wear Flat out Fabulous or Russian Red by Mac. With a wash of Violetta if I’m feeling bold lol

My go to that I wear most day is Anastasia Beverly Hills matte lipstick in rogue. Perfect brick colour.

I would love to try a red lipstick but I don’t know what tone to try and I always feel like they don’t suit me!

Ive tried the online things to find my colouring, but my veins look both green and blue! Could anyone help? I have mid brown hair and green/hazel eyes. Skin is quite pale but tans really well in summer.

You sound like me. I tend to find a more pinky blue red suits me best. Not a deep red and definitely not brick red. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect red, I bought mac ruby woo as I was told it suits most people. It’s a nice red but not quite perfect.
