Shopping trolley

Ok, so not the most stylish question! But wasn't sure where to ask and thought people here might know.

After lugging picnic blankets and sun umbrella + 30kg base plus picnic to DS's sports day, I have decided to buy a shopping trolley to make such things easier in future.

Obviously don't expect the parasol to fit in it. But it needs to be heavy duty so it can hold 35kg without ripping. Large sturdy wheels and also foldable for storage. Waterproof material, ideally with a choice of nice colours or patterns but that's a bonus. I think some also have insulated compartments but that's also a bonus. Definitely need an extendable handle though as I'm fairly tall and often find walking with such things awkward if just a "standard" handle designed for smaller women.

Any ideas?

I have a Rolser trolley. I've had it for years and it's still in excellent condition. There are lots of different styles/colours etc.

You need a “camping trolley” as seen on camping sites when folks have to move heavy tents and kit around. If you Google “camping trolly/trollies, you’ll see quite a lot come up.
Theyre a great idea for tasks as you’ve described.

Thanks both! Will check these out! I have ME so carrying all of this stuff is a nightmare. 🤯

I saw this trolley in my local Costco recently. You have to be a member (or know someone who's a member) to shop at Costco though. This camping trolley looked well made and very robust:

Another vote for rolser, had mine nearly 30 years now! Love the newer ones and the idea of fridge bag compartment.

I found one here that looks great and it won't let me order it to the UK. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Probably too expensive at £80 but I have a Carlett. I'm disabled and it's like pushing a lightweight buggy for support

uncomfortablydumb53 · 19/07/2022 12:59

As you have ME the Carlett would be a great buy

There are UK stockists. Just put Rolser and the trolley model in search engine and hopefully you'll get a result!

Rolser used to deliver to the UK, but perhaps this changed re: Brexit?

Thank you. I find it easier to pull something than push something though, for some reason.

No luck. But, Rolser do not specify that they don't deliver to the UK so it may be worth contacting their customer service dept.

Do they have decently long handles, so I won't have to walk weirdly and hunch to pull it?

OnaBegonia · 19/07/2022 14:18

Trolley yes, 20kg base NO!
Just dig parasol straight into ground, no need to lug a base.
