Boden rainyday mac - for those who were waiting for a review of the new one

It arrived this morning and it's lovely. Really nice A-line shape, cut generously, so you could wear a fleece or whatever underneath if it's really cold.

Seems very good quality as well. Zip is covered, it has those breathe hole thingys under the arms, all very nice. Haven't been out in it yet but looking at it I am fairly confident that it could be raining heavily and I wouldn't get wet.

I am pleased I went for the bright red, it's a really nice red, and I was umming and erring between that and the ivory.

flowerybeanbag · 15/01/2008 12:47

Can I send back my one with the button-shedding problem and get one of those instead?

flowerybeanbag · 15/01/2008 13:28

Worth a try?

Here

princessmel · 15/01/2008 13:37

I'm waiting for my shite button one to arrive. I couldn't afford the zip one. Well dh tells me I couldn't afford the button-in-the-sale one either.
I'll tell you how wobbly the buttons are when it comes.

And I'm actually slightly button phobic so I really should have not got it

princessmel · 15/01/2008 13:38

Only certain buttons mind. Covered ones are the worst, or a pot of old ones. uggh

foxymagoo · 15/01/2008 13:47

I have cream one with red fleece from winter and have had to sew ALL the buttons on again bar one pokcet which was not easy even though I used industrial stregnth needle.

Plus dry cleaner shudders when I bring it in due to cream/redness

but I do get admiring comments about it as a swish about and have induced seom Boden envy from Playgroup Mums

TigerFeet · 15/01/2008 13:50
