For me I would say Almond oil moisturiser from Weleda because my skin is so sensitive.

I'd like to add when I was younger and had a few spots here and there I used Clinique and would vouch for it for these acne:

  • All About Clean Facial Soap

  • Clarifying Lotion

  • Superdefense cream (the green one which I don't think is available anymore, I could always tell the difference after a week)

  • Exfoliating scrub (once a week)

Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream. Even my completely non observant bloke has noticed the difference.

What is the cheapest way to buy tret? I don't want a monthly subscription... Thank you!

Fairyfalls · 14/06/2022 17:10

Botox

Everydaydayisaschoolday · 14/06/2022 19:21

Ultherapy on my neck. Hurts like hell and costs a fortune but cleared up my necklace lines.

Weirdo alert.

It must be wonderful to be so busy & have such an important job. I'm surprised he managed to find the time to look up a skincream thread & leave a comment :)

In Portugal it's prescription only and it costs about 2 euros... I would be surprised if you couldn't buy it at Boots and quite frankly I'd even more surprised if you couldn't get it a heck of lot cheaper than people are getting it using those fancy subscriptions. If I were you I'd ask at Boots next time you're there.
I haven't lived in the UK for a while but back in the day most (legal) drugs were typically cheaper there, so chances are it's cheaper than 2 euros.

Used to use Clinique, Elizabeth Arden etc but had a really bad bout of eczema all over my face. Had to have tablets to get rid of it.
Since then Body Shop Avocado face cream and Superdrug vitamin e serum.
Cheap and very effective

Well - a few weeks ago I spent / invested ££ on a Waterpik dental floss gadget. I also use the toothbrush attachment.
I have noticed a massive improvement in my teeth and gums and so has my dentist.

Tret from Tretonin world
Loads of water
Exercise
Glycolic acid

LouS84 · 14/06/2022 22:28

Switching to Skinsalve.co.uk bar soap and body wash, it’s really good for sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

Tatapie · 14/06/2022 22:31

Boots no 7 perfect & protect serum. It's either way that or the HRT! Or both?!

I will try, thank you.

Neal's yard calendula cleanser has reduced my redness and is moisturising. Very nice product. Wish I'd found it sooner

AmongstTheCosmos · 15/06/2022 10:44

Another one for tretinoin here. I have a blissfully simple skincare routine now and my skin looks gorgeous!

Painintheass22 · 15/06/2022 10:55

Where can I buy this? X

Painintheass22 · 15/06/2022 10:56

Oops, tretinoin I mean?

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2022 11:15

Sunblock every day. Downside is people think dh is my dad.

Which still isn’t as bad as the time someone thought my dad was my boyfriend.

My3cents1 · 15/06/2022 11:19

@Painintheass22. Tretinoin World. Forget anything you can buy from the store, even high end. Tret is the gold standard.

indoorplantqueen · 15/06/2022 12:49

Salycic acid soap (no more spots or break outs)
Medik8 retinol
Hylarounic acid
Alpha gold
Vitamin C cream

Korean 10 step routine. Mainly double cleansing. I would have had congested dry skin which was a nightmare to keep clear and hydrated.
Best products for me are from the Mizon snail repair range, mostly the face cream! Just amazing. Mid 30s and finally have the best skin I've ever had. AND factor 50 SUNCREAM!!

I love me some.snail essence! I like the COSRX one.

missfliss · 15/06/2022 14:30

HRT ( yes really)

jeaux90 · 18/06/2022 11:40

@Pandorapitstop vita liberata do one for your face called beauty blur

But I've also been on HRT for about 9 months and my skin is a lot better for that too I think

monkeybars11 · 18/06/2022 11:52

Which treat do you recommend from Tretonin world please? This is my first forage into improving my skin and there's too much choice.
