Calling all size 12 women with BOOBS!! Have you bought an occasion dress lately?

I need a couple of dresses for semi-formal occasions this summer. Not weddings but a step up from a bbq iyswim.

I am 34F and a size 12. Despite being a standard dress size I think I have a very tricky body to dress! It doesn’t take much for me to look matronly (because of the boobs). Anything empire is a no-go!

Has anyone of similar proportions found a flattering dress this season? Please?

Beautiful. What's the sizing like ? I'm a 14/16 in M&S.

Sizing is pretty generous. It's a roomy 14, I might have got away with a 12, as it has a bit of stretch in the fabric.

I went dress shopping for an occasion dress depressing choices tbh I ended up getting a phase 8 dress from eBay fraction of the price and way less stressful 😘

I agree with nobody’s child, some really lovely flattering dresses

wonkylegs · 29/05/2022 13:50

@SilentBob where is that from?

gunnersgold · 29/05/2022 15:23

Above dress is silk Fred or dancing leopard . Both make great shirt dresses .

I've got this for

www.boohoo.com/cap-sleeve-tie-waist-floral-midaxi-dress/FZZ70996.html?color=148

It's very flattering, I'm a short 10/12 with 34G boobs. It does need a camisole underneath or you risk flashing boobs but I bought a cheap navy satin one which does the trick.

That dress is beautiful!

I am 32DD and recently bought this dress. There is way too much room in the bust in the size 12 - it makes DD look flat chested, so would probably fit you properly.

SilentBob · 29/05/2022 15:34

@wonkylegs @gunnersgold has it correct- it's a dancing Leopard dress from Silk Fred

Bigtitsbetty · 29/05/2022 15:47

Girl in Mind and Oliver Bonas dresses tend to be quite generous in the boobage.

This is really nice and roomy You might like this at John Lewis:

Just bought it and can be dressed up and down

Doublevodka · 29/05/2022 15:52

I have exactly this problem. I even find wrap dresses make me look matronly. I have a few shirt dresses as these seem to be the only style that work for me.

AnnieMay55 · 29/05/2022 16:10

@wonkylegs I went to a wedding recently and someone was wearing that dress and she got many compliments. She is fairly short but quite busty.
