Love or hate these sandals?

I have my girlie moments with skirts in summer etc. but summer for me is tshirt and short jeans mostly. I thought of these as a compromise as a study sandal as I like to get out and about and take photos.

Love or loathe? I can't decide! Hopefully the attachment works.

I hate to break it to you, but DMs have always been trendy. And I speak as a 60 year old DM lover.

I have these in black. They're extremely comfortable, took no breaking in. I love them, maybe everyone hates them but I don't care. I think they look great with almost everything.
Oooh, interesting that no breaking in needed! I’m tempted now too….

Purple isn't a summer colour though is it? Personally I think they are hideous , too common now ( as in all and sundry wearing them) and there are much lovelier versions out there if you want this look.

I like the style generally but not the colour or the patent leather.

I like them but, unless you are vegan, I would steer clear of them. I find the vegan 'leather' doesn't stretch/give it soften and then weirdly cracks and flakes off. For that price you would want leather and then they'll last ages.

Obv if you are vegan they're perfect

They are the comfiest sandals I've ever had. Can easily wear them all day and they don't rub. Had them about 5 years now and still going strong

I have them in the bubblegum pink colour. They did rub a fair bit at first and I imagine they will again when I first wear them this year as I have narrow feet and I'd say they're better suited to wide feet. But then they were super comfy and I had loads of compliments on them last year.

Yep love but I'd personally get them in black, which I think (unless everyone around you is wearing them too) has the potential to look just on the edgy side of casual elegant. They'd go with almost everything and add a bit of interest without screaming 'look at me'. Good find OP, I'm v tempted now myself!

I bought a similar pair last year in non shiny leather and got loads of compliments on them. I love the look of them but haven't reached for them this year as they rubbed the top of my left foot terribly and I never managed to break them in. I am thinking of selling them on Vinted as I only wore them about 4 times.

They make me think of the 2000s, a Gerri Halliwell type thing. Generally not a fan of DMs though.
