I lurve Flexitol (particularly with the gruesome "before" pictures of manky Australian feet, which I find strangely reassuring).

I like plain pale pink (french manicure style) varnish. It makes me feet look "fresh".

ahundredtimes · 09/01/2008 10:56

My mother gave me this Balm, it comes in a lovely pink box and a shiny tin - it is to be used on anything or everything. But I think might be part of the upkeep programme, for after the main FOOT routine.

I'm going to look for things.

TheGoatofBitterness · 09/01/2008 10:57

i got a cheese grate type thing in the summer must hunt it out.

Anchovy · 09/01/2008 10:58

Oh, yes - flexitol alone not enough - flexitol and cheese grater.

againagainTigerFeet · 09/01/2008 11:05

Scholl party gel pads a godsend for wearing heels at work. Have tried others but these seem to stay put much better.

Monday went to London - train/tube/much walking about and heeled-boot shod feet were a little tired at the end of the day but would have been in agony without me gel pads.

legalalien · 09/01/2008 11:08

I'd recommend the body shop foot file as a better alternative / compliment to the flexitol than the cheese grater - doesn't LOOK as effective but is, in my experience

peppermint foot / leg spray thing on the following page also quite nice.

Oh yes, definitely flexitol or compeed dry and cracked skin cream for my delightful sexy heels

re: ankle chains - that's what our mothers' told us, so it must be true

MrsBadger · 09/01/2008 11:51

sounds old-ladyish but if you have flat feet a tendency to pronate get these or similar - your feet and back will love youScholl do free consultations if you want specially taoilered advice but the off the shelf ones are pretty good.

brimfull · 09/01/2008 11:52

saddo alert!

I saw this on qvc

looked amazing but ££££ ,worth it if it works though

anyone tried it?

brimfull · 09/01/2008 11:54

sorry here

brimfull · 09/01/2008 11:55

ffs

brimfull · 09/01/2008 11:57

I give up

it's called Pedikur hand and foot care

bundle · 09/01/2008 11:59

Calmurid - does similar to Flexitol but even higher concentration of urea/other goodies look here

recommended by podiatrist - she said DON'T cheese grate first - just apply and wear socks if you slip around.

SoupDragon · 09/01/2008 12:02

Is that the stuff that "melts" away the hard skin, ggirl? It's sh*te IME.

Cremolafoam · 09/01/2008 12:17

The Sanctuary Liquid Foot Powder

More for summer toes than crusty winter feet, but acts like talc when you're wearing shoes without socks (e.g. ballet pumps) but without it going everywhere as it's a lotion that dries to a powder.

Smells DIVINE too.

Not always easy to get in Boots or wherever but only four quid and lasts ages as you don't need to put too much on.

Seriously I give this 9.5/10

I also highly recommend Revlon Red nail varnish (though can't find a proper link to it, it's the colour of the big bottle on that page)

It's a great colour for toes all year round though I'm usually a Bourjois girl for nail polish.

OliviaMumsnet · 09/01/2008 12:31

at cheese grater.
