ach buda what's -1?! Come on now -15 and you can wear jeans! Actually when it's -15 I don't leave the house.

I wear skirts in winter. It's no big deal if you're just getting out of a car and into a building. I don't wander round parks in them though. But I don't wander about much fullstop in winter.

In my case, wearing skirts came from going out with Russian men. They will fawn all over you all day, buying you flowers, opening doors, combing your hair and all sorts of weird things like that if you wear a skirt. If you wear jeans they don't.

So I got into the habit. Apparently even in winter in Russia women manage to wear skirts all day. Dunno how though.

I don't believe I have ever flobbed in my life. It's comfortable, this dress is comfortable.

DrNortherner · 09/01/2008 11:17

Cod what colour is this fleece?

Buda · 09/01/2008 11:18

LOL SSSandy - that is were I am going wrong then! I need skirts!

I am with cod though on the tights with slippers thing! Looks odd. So I stick to my jeans in winter!

GrapefruitMoon · 09/01/2008 11:26

My problem with skirts/dresses in winter is what footwear to wear with them... not great at wearing heels (well in daytime anyway) and flats seem to look frumpy with tights...

SSSandy2 · 09/01/2008 11:32

I wear boots all winter.

Long boots, flat or fairly flat with skirts (no idea WHY, just what I have)

I wear high heeled ankle boots with trousers or jeans

I wear hiking boots if it gets desperately snowy, icy etc but I ´just try and hide from that kind of weather generally.

GrapefruitMoon · 09/01/2008 11:34

When I wear my long boots with a skirt dh says I look like a Ukrainian tractor driver!

bundle · 09/01/2008 11:35

ooh hoxty, thank you might wear them on Saturday, do come!
I am also clashing - red clarks flat boots and orange/pink tank top over grey long sleeved t shirt

bundle · 09/01/2008 11:36

dividedselfridgesxmaswindow that sounds lovely!

CatIsSleepy · 09/01/2008 11:36

winter is the only time I can get away with wearing a short-ish skirt

gawd bless opaque tights, they cover a multitude of sins

I too admire Sarah Parrish.

So obvious the wedding planner is going to get it on with one of the lesbians..

bozza · 09/01/2008 11:44

I am wearing rather a lot of skirts atm - due to all my jeans being tight post Christmas. I am trying to be good though and have several fruits, a raw carrot and a bottle of water sat on my desk.

CatIsSleepy · 09/01/2008 11:45

have lovely dark grey opaque tights from Gap
very soft and comfy too
should have bought about 10 pairs as I bet they won't have any more when i go back-probably flogging summery nonsense already

CatIsSleepy · 09/01/2008 11:46

well your desk sounds very healthy at least bozza

bundle · 09/01/2008 11:46
